Mixing Embossing powders.

Hi all,
I wanted to share with you a Pendant that I have made this week.
And here is how i created it…
First of all let me tell you what you will need-
Black UTEE (Ultra thick Embossing Enamel)
Leather Cord
From the Fine Feathers Necklace set you need your pendant, one of the feathers…I later decided to add one of the swirls to.
Using your Black UTEE & Enamel and Embossing powder Adhesive coat the pendant, I gave this 3 coats, but 3 probably would have given a smoother coating…it is personal preference. .if you have never used UTEE before It is slightly different when melting, it will “bead” and looking like you have melted it wrong, don’t worry, it will then melt fully into a lovely thick enamel.
Anyone with a Melt Pot, this Black UTEE would be perfect to use with your Melt Pot.
Now one thing i love with Embossing powders is that you don’t have to stick with just one colour, I LOVE Enamel Powder BAHAMA AQUA, but i wanted to “break” it up slightly for this, so in a small pot I mixed it with Black UTEE , when doing this test your “new” colour on some scrap paper first to make sure you are happy with the result.
Take your feather (and Swirl) and Coat with Enamel and Embossing powder Adhesive
Give it a nice thick coating with your powder mix and melt using your heat tool…again I gave this 2 coats.
I then dabbed some Enamel and Embossing powder Adhesive over where i wanted the feather and swirl to be and put a sprinkle of  Black UTEE and melted it with my heat tool, then using tweezers (its very hot so please use tweezers) I pushed my feather and swirl into the Enamel, then when it sets it will act a glue…you can see her that they are pushed into the enamel.
Attach a cord and you are done.
Here is another look at the finished pendant.
Don’t forget to head on over to Globecraft &Piccolo Facebook Page to share your creations, and pick up some inspiration.

Visible image…Jingle Jingle

Earlier this week I let out a little squeal of delight when this little fella dropped through my letterbox this week..
I have been so excited since we got shown Harley  that I couldn’t wait to get started crafting with him, and here is what I have made (so far, trust me i have lots of ideas for this fella)
I decided to make a stepper card. I coloured Harley using my Spectrum Noirs (list at bottom of post) I was going to go for bright colours but decided to go with Playing card colours instead.
Everything you see stamp wise is included with the Harley Set  so it is fantastic value for money…and I love that you can make your own playing cards !!!

Here is a close up so you can see Harley and also the dimension of the card.

Here is my second make with Harley

I went with a blue and orange combo for this card.
The card is a 6×6 card.
The backing paper was made using Broken China Distress ink and then stamped using the Joker stamp from the Harley Set .
I coloured Harley with my Spectrum Noirs and then used the stars from Jake Skates Stamp Set.
I then added a ribbon and a bell.

I just love the possibilities of this set ! And of course being Visible image it stamps perfectly everytime.

Head on over to the Visible Image Blog  to check out what the rest of the talented team have been up to, and also check out the current challenge whilst you are there.

Don’t forget the Visible Image Facebook Group  to share your Harley (and of course other Visible image stamps) creations, and chat to fellow crafters.

Visible image tag time….

Morning all….it is Saturday which means Visible Image time !
I have created a tag this week….
I decided as it was so dark and gloomy at the moment to go for some nice bright colours.
The background was created using the super versatile
Which I stamped on top of distress ink and clear embossed, I then sprayed over the whole tag using Dylusions inks.
I then Stamped the following sets using pigment ink
I then used some clear embossing powder to give them some shine.
I then used some white dylusion to flick across the tag.
This shows just how fab these Ink Splats are.
Don’t forget to head on over to the Visible Image blog to check out the current challenge where you could win £20 !! to spend on some lush new stamps.
And also check out Visible image Facebook Group for all the latest news, and chat to fellow crafters.

Frame card

Hiya all,
I wanted to show you how beautiful the Piccolo Frames look when used on a card.
Here is what I have created:
And here is how I created it.

First of all here is all the items you will need-

Cardstock cut to 10×8″ and folded in half for your card blank, and a Piece of watercolour card cut to 4×3″
Paper & Ribbon of your choice
Inkpad for Background & Stamping
Cut your card blank, and also make sure your piece of water colour card fits well behind the frame.
Using blue Distress ink cover your Watercolour card, you want this too be patchy as represents the Sky.
A good tip I use is to give a light spray of water over the top of the card, this helps “soften” the distress ink and makes it look more sky like.
Take your frame that comes with your Butterfly Flurry Flourishes Piccolo Set and give a nice layer of  Enamel & Embossing Powder Adhesive Fluid
Apply a nice thick layer of  Mermaid Tears Embossing Powder…I love how this picture shows all the beautiful colours in this powder. Tap off the excess & set with your heat tool.
Take the butterflies from the Butterfly Flurry Flourishes Piccolo Set and emboss with Mermaid Tears Embossing Powder
Take the Tall Grassy Flowers Stamp and stamp up your card.
I used Green Distress ink for this.
Once stamped I then used Aged White Embossing Powder on the heads of the flower grass and sprainkled some across the bottom, heat set this from underneath your card.
Glue your frame and butterflies to your watercolour card.
Assemble your card using your paper, ribbon & frame.  Here is a closer look at the Flowers & Butterflies.
Finishing touch is done using the brilliant Satin Silver 3D Enamel Gel , put 3 dots in the corner of your card.
And here is the finished card again. I do hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial.

Visible Image….Jake Skates

Morning all 🙂 It’s Saturday which means Visible image time !

I have been playing with the fab Jake Skates Stamp set

I had so much fun making this card, and the whole card is made with Visible Image Stamps.
This shows a close up of the strip of skateboards, it also shows how brilliant the border stamp is…both these stamps come with Jake Skates Stamp Set
With the Skate boards I thought they was crying out to be embossed, so I have used some bright yellow embossing powder on them.
The Sentiment is also from the Jake Skates set (you really do get value for money with these stamp sets) I stamped this using my distress inks.
The backing paper was made by simply stamping using Grunge Polkadot Background stamp and Mowed Lawn Distress ink
I coloured Jake with my Spectrum Noirs…he is Awesome isn’t he.
The border was done using the border stamp (which is double sided so two stamps in one !) I stamped with Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink, and then overstamped with Mowed Lawn Distress ink.
Stamps used:

Have you seen Harley ?? Who’s Harley you may ask…
Meet Harley
How brilliant is he ? And look at all those stamps you get with him…so many possibilities !!!
There is also a brilliant Grunge Harlequin background stamp  To go with Harley.
Don’t forget to head on over to the Visible Image blog to check out the current challenge where you could win £20 !! to spend on some lush new stamps.

Globecraft & Piccolo …He who holds the key

Hiya everyone, its Tuesday so that mean Globecraft & Piccolo time.
Now as Valentines day is creeping up I decided to spread a little bit of love and make a Vintage style Pendant using one of the awesome Acrylic Craft Charms
I am really happy how this turned out. Here is how I made it…
1. I made my own backing paper (It reads he who holds the key to my heart) and crumpled it up and then distressed it and rubber some gold wax around the edges, this was then glued onto the Bezel
2. I then took one of the hearts from Keys to my Heart Piccolo set give it two layers of Ruby Red Slippers Enamel Powder…The below picture shows just how beautiful this Enamel powder is.
3. I also used one of the keys from Keys to my heart Piccolo Set and used Copper Kettle Enamel Powder…I only gave this one rough layer as I wanted it to have an old look to it

4. I then took Instant UV resin and put a fine layer down and placed the heart and key into it, I then left it on my window sil for a few mins to set, i then gave it another coat and again left on window sil to set….I love this product ! A definite must have, I wanted a old look to this whole thing so was very “rough” with how i applied the resin, I also wanted to create a look like you get with Amber and you have items floating and bubbles etc…I was very wary about doing it but I think it has work just how i pictured it would.
This picture shows just how fab the shine is on the resin. I simply then added some vintage ribbon to finish it off.

Now between me and you I have seen there is some new items over on the website so make sure you check them out.
Also don’t forget we have some brilliant inspiration from the rest of the team post regularly so make sure you keep checking back on the Globecraft & Piccolo Blog
Happy Crafting 🙂

Well how exciting this is my first post as part of the fab Visible image team !!!

I thought she was crying out for a scene card. I coloured her with my Spectrum Noirs and then cut her out.
I created the scene by cutting out the fence and Tree and decided to use my Zig white pen to create a snowy look to them, The sky was created using Distress inks.
I do hope you like what i have created with Isabella
If you haven’t tried Visible image Stamps  then you really need to, they are fantastic quality and stamp perfectly.
