Globecraft & Piccolo…adding texture

Morning everyone, Tuesday which means Globecraft & Piccolo day from me.
I wanted to show you today a pendant I have made that is slightly different…
I have used Royal Sterling Embossing Enamel and given 4 thick layers into a Teardrop bezel. Whilst it looked beautiful without me doing anything else i wanted to add some more texture, so whilst the immediately after heating the powder on the last coat I used a script rubber stamp…**PLEASE NOTE** do NOT use any other stamp other than rubber otherwise you risk damaging your stamp…Leave the stamp until the enamel has cooled and then slowly remove….and you then have some beautiful texture.
You can just see a hint of blue here, that is because i used some 3D enamel gel in Turquoise  and “buffed” over the surface with it, because the surface was so textured you find the gel sticks in certain areas…it is a lovely effect. I also rubbed some gilding wax in some areas and then finished off with a nice thick layer of Glastique Finishing Glaze

This picture shows all the different colours, texture and glaze perfectly. This technique can be used with so many different stamps….and it fun too 🙂

Clean and Simple Visible Image

Morning lovelie,
I hope you are all well ? Sorry i have not been about much, it has been one of those weeks.
Anyway onto my Visible image DT make for this week. I keep finding myself doing more and more CAS cards, and this week I was certainly in a CAS mood.

I have used Tall Grass stamp & Butterfly stamp and created a very simple scene on white hammered card.
I then stamped the Butterfly stamp onto acetate, coloured it with my Spectrum Noirs, i then bend the wings up and glued just the body over the stamped image on the card.
I love this effect and it is a good way to add a splash of colour.
I can definitely see me making more CAS cards…funny how we go through phases isn’t it.
Make sure you check out the Visible Image blog & Facebook Group for some fab inspiration, and don’t forget The current challenge where you could win £20 to spend on some Visible Image Stamps.
Happy Crafting 🙂

Visible image…2 stamps, 2 tags, 2 ways

Morning my lovelies, I hope you are all having a lovely easter weekend ?
It is a weekend full of crafting for me with some family time…bliss !
Today i wanted to talk to you about Tags…The current challenge  at Visible image is all about Tags this month, but after speaking to a couple of fellow crafters i remembered that tags can be quite daunting if you have never made one…infact one crafting friend said the thought of making a tag scared her because she just didn’t know where to start, this got me thinking back to when i first started seeing people crafting with tags and i realised i felt exactly the same.
There is some utterly amazing tags out there, and it can be daunting.
BUT I wanted to show you today just how simple making a tag can be, I have (as the title says) taken 2 stamps and made 2 tags with 2 different results and trust me it was really easy !
All you need is some card (think of all that card in your scrap box you can finally use)
Some stamps…I have used Live your dreams & Bronte Script…both these stamps can be purchased for under £10 and to me are a must in your stamp collection
A ink pad….I have used a white pigment pad & Memento Ink Pad in Black
Clear Embossing powder
Either Distress inks or Dylusion/any brand ink sprays.
I have done a quick walk through on how i did each tag.
I took my stamps and created a tag using some scrap Neenah card, remember with tags there is no set size so you can create to whatever size you want, as a guide i tend to go around 6″x3″, the tag shape really is as easy as cutting the top two corners and punching a hole…My first tag i didn’t own a hole punch so i never put a hole in it.
I think stamped using the Bronte Script and white pigment ink…again use whatever colour you wish, i use white so it gives a crisp clean stamp, stamp until the whole of your tag is covered and then set with clear embossing powder.
Then take whatever ink you have…for a totally different look rather than clear embossing you could brush mica powder over the pigment ink…Colour your tag and remember to buff over the tag to remove any ink from the script.
Take another piece of scrap paper and colour with your inks. stamp using Live your dreams with black ink pad, cut the stamp out and mount using 3d foam/Glue gel onto the tag.
And here is the finished tag, and very bright fun tag created in less than 30 mins, you could also colour some ribbon and add that to the tag.
Now the second tag I have used some Kraft card this time, create tag in same way as before.
This time I stamped the whole tag with Black Memento.
Stamp Live your dreams on some kraft card and then mount onto the tag…and you are done, this tag took me 10 mins and totally different result than the first one.
And here they are together, 2 stamps, 2 tags. 2 ways.
I hope i have showed that creating a tag can be easy and fun, and that you don’t need to break the bank to create a beautiful tag.
Make sure you check out the Visible Image blog & Facebook Group for some fab inspiration, and don’t forget The current challenge where you could win £20 to spend on some Visible Image Stamps.
Happy Crafting, and have a lovely Easter

Globecraft & Piccolo Stencil card

Morning Lovelies, today is Globecraft & Piccolo day.
I wanted to show you an that Piccolos have lots of uses, and one of the ones i love is that you can use them as a stencil.
I have used ATC Bubble Background which i have to confess is my favorite Piccolo at the moment.
I then took a 4.5 x 5 card blank , a black strip of card cut to 2 x 5 and a strip of watercolour card cut to 1.9 x 5

For the next step you need a temporary adhesive to hold your “stencil” in place, I always use Crafter’s Companion Stick and Spray.
Spray one side of your Piccolo “stencil” and position on the watercolour card.
Pick your medium you wish to use to add colour, I swear by Dylusions, but it is totally up to you.

Be as creative as you wish and apply your colour, I run a heat tool over the area before i remove the Piccolo, and then VERY carefully remove the Piccolo, I have found removing the paper from the Piccolo is the best way.
And of course you now have a pretty coloured Piccolo 🙂
Once fully dry rub away any excess adhesive and glue to your black strip and then adhere this to your card blank. I then rounded off the bottom two corners and added a simple sentiment.
And here is the finished card, you could be so creative with this method.
Items used:
4.5×5 Card Blank
Watercolour Card
Black Cardstock
Dylsusions Ink Sprays
Crafter’s Companion Stick & Spray
Sentiment Stamp.

Visible Image Clean and Simple

Morning my lovelies, I hope you are all well ? It has been a very busy week here, but it is finally the weekend 🙂
I seem to be going from one extreme to another with crafting at the moment and going from full on busy cards to clean and simple. And today I wanted to share a clean and simple card i have made using Classic Face Stamp & Believe Stamp
I love this face stamp, there is so much depth and detail, and i thought a clean and simple card was a good way to show it off.
I did a simple Z fold card and mat and layered using some card I had in my stash from Papermania.
I stamped using Adirondack in Citrus and then just finished off with a ribbon and knot.
Don’t forget the fab challenge at the moment which is themed Tags…who doesn’t like making tags ?
And you get the chance to win £20 to spend on stamps !!…you’d be mad not to enter !
Also don’t forget to stop by the Facebook group to keep up to date with all the latest Visible image news.

Globecraft & Piccolo Mini Canvas

Morning Everyone.
I have created a fun Mini Canvas this week that I wanted to share with you
I created the base of the canvas using Distress Stains and then Stamped onto some copy paper and stuck it down with PVA.
The beautiful heart Piccolo is from the Heart Flourishes Accents set and the Corner flourish is part of the Spring release and is from the  Vintage corner Flourish set
The heart was given a nice thick layer of Black UTEE and the Flourish was given two layers of Vintage Black Enamel Powder, I also sprinkled some of this across one corner of the canvas.

This picture shows just how gorgeous the powders are.

Visible image Once upon a time …

Morning lovelies,
It is Saturday which means Visible image day for me.
Now last week you may remember that I made the Sun catcher, now because the centre of the hearts was cut away this left me with some smaller, whole heart shapes….So i decided to use them for this weeks project.
One of my favorite Visible Image stamps is the beautiful Once Upon a time so i had to use that, and here is what I have created….
I wanted a nice vintage style hanger. I have also used Bronte Script and stamped it onto Tissue paper and then applied it too the heart using PVA, this gives it a very subtle look and makes a nice base.
The castle and sentiment were stamped using pigment ink and then clear embossed, I wasn’t very precise with my stamping because i wanted a “rough” look…i hope that makes sense, i spent ages thinking how to put it !
I distress inked the edges and then rubbed over it with some Gilding wax and sprinkled some bronze UTEE to give some texture.
This picture shows the sheen of the gilding wax, and i think it shows just how beautiful the castle is.
I hope you like what i created, i certainly had fun creating it.
Don’t forget our current challenge is Tags, and you can win £20 to spend on Visible Image stamps.
Also if you are not already a member make sure you check out the Facebook Group, lots of crafty chatter.
Items used:

Greyboard heart
Distress ink Vintage Photo
Bronze Pigment ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Bronze UTEE
Gold Gilding Wax
