Visible Image Jake Skates

Morning lovelies, i hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather, i have to confess that i prefer the colder months, but i do enjoy colours of summer including yellow…which i have used in my DT card this week.
I have used the fab Jake Skates set for this and went for a clean and simple card.
I coloured him using my Spectrum Noir Pens and Pencils….I am really loving these pencils !!
I stamped the sentiment (also included in the set) and embossed using yellow embossing powder.
I then mounted him onto some yellow card and added some enamel dots.
Don’t forget the current challenge is Anything Goes and you can win £20 to spend on these fab stamps.

Glboecraft & Piccolo

Morning lovelies, Globecraft & Piccolo day from me.
I have been playing with Cameo Girl Charms and microbeads.
I removed the middle section of the cameo and cut some Blue Core’dinations card to fit to the back of the cameo.
I then embossed the frame using Aged White Enamel powder, i used 2 layers. I then adhered the card to the back of the frame using a nice strong glue.
I glued some Microbeads in the head area and once dry and went over it with Glastique
And here is the finished result.
This shows the texture of the beads and enamel really well, and i love the effect it gives.
Happy crafting 🙂 x

Spectrum Noir Pencils

Morning lovelies,
I hope you are all having a nice weekend ?
Now unless you have been living under a rock you would have heard about the fantastic new Spectrum Noir Pencils…these pencils are totally amazing. They are a wax pencils and blend like a dream, they worked perfectly alongside your markers, but are perfect to use as a standalone medium.
They can be purchased from Crafter’s Companion or most crafting retailers will be stocking them. There is also a new Spectrum Noir DVD which i highly recommend.
I wanted to share with you one of my recent cards that I did which used just the pencils.
The image I have used is one of the exclusive Digital images from Sharon Callis that is on the first Spectrum Noir DVD. Now there is 3 blending methods with the pencils:
You can use Blending Fluid and Paper Stumps
Blending Pencil
Or you can blend with just the pencils in a similar way that you do with your markers.
I have used the last method for this card  and i am really happy with how it turned out.
I had planned a CAS card for this with no distressing or frantage…but as you can see that did not happen !
I hope you like what I have created with them, check back next week when i will be sharing some more pencil colouring with you
Items used:

Morning lovelies, weekend is here already !

The lovely Amber picked for me and I got Men’s Collage & Grunge Polka Dot, colours i had were orange and kraft…and here is what i made…
I went for a distressed tag, I stamped them using Vintage Photo Distress ink and then used some Copper Embossing powder over Men’s Collage I am really happy with how it turned out and think it has been so much fun seeing all the teams choices.
Don’t forget the current challenge is Anything Goes and you can win £20 to spend on these fab stamps.

All Dressed Up New Release

It is launch time at All Dressed Up, and we have four fantastic images for you for this months launch.
Just Married
Mirror Mirror
My Little Flowergirl
To Have & To Hold
How great are they ? to purchase any of the images please head on over to the Shop.
For my design team card for the launch I have used To Have & To Hold

I have coloured the image using my Spectrum Noirs (list is below), my friend got married in pink and blue and is was so beautiful so i decided to go with them colours here…of course i had to sneak in some frantage and cheesecloth 🙂 The ribbon was plain white seam binding that i coloured with my Spectrum Noirs so they matched the pink used in the card. I really do love this image.

I also frantaged the main rose, I added some Distress ink and then straight away sprinkled some frantage on and heated from a distance.

And here is a slight side view, I wanted to go a vintagey feel to this card….well it wouldn’t be me if there wasn’t something vintage there would it 🙂

Don’t forget our current  challenge theme is It’s a guy thing. A couple of images would be perfect for the challenge theme, plus you are in with a chance of winning 3 images of your choice !
Also don’t forget to stop by our Facebook Group to share your All Dressed Up creations & chat to fellow crafters.

Globecraft & Piccolo Enamel Chart

Morning lovelies
Now we all love Embossing Enamels don’t we…I know for me the first time seeing that magical moment the powder turns to a lovely molten enamel I was hooked.
But the one thing with them is how different they can look once melted, I mean we all know Gold is Gold, but now there is so many beautiful colours and mixes and with the fantastic enamels from Globecraft & Piccolo there tends to be glitters & a couple of different colours…which you cannot really see until they are melted.
So i can have a quick reference of what the enamels look like once melted I decided to make a colour chart, which is below and you can use it if you wish 🙂
I have left some spare circles so you can add enamels too…you could even use it for your 3D Enamel Gels 🙂

The circles are the right size for the applicator of your Enamel and Embossing powder.

Here is my chart filled in, and i am able to also see what enamels i have when ordering 🙂

Here is the blank chart, please feel free to save it and use.

This was so hard to photograph so i am sorry for the poor picture. I upcycled a coffee jar into a make up brush pot, you cannot really see it but I have used the darks paper pad and some black Core’dinations embossed with the Chic Embossing folder to cover the jar and then wrapped some silk ribbon around the jar, I then added the bow with a gem and some hatpins.
Chanel was coloured using my Spectrum Noir Pens.
I went for a ombre effect on her dress which i really enjoyed doing, i then added some glitter to her dress and lashes….i love this range because you can get your glitters and bling items out and have a total ball with them.
