Pick of the week Texture Folders and Stamps

Morning lovelies, I hope you are all well ??
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my recent blog posts, it really does make my day reading them.
Crafter’s Companion have a brand new range launching as the Pick Of The Week Launching this Friday on Create & Craft TV, It is all about Texture…the folders are AMAZING, and the stamps are fantastic, and so versatile.
Anyway I was asked to create some samples for the shows and wanted to share some with you today.
This one is using Leaf Vein Folder with Kraft card, I have then brushed over with Distress Inks and Gilding wax. The Tag features a couple of the stamps.

This is another using the Leaf Vein, This has Aquatints, Distress inks, Pebeo Paint and Gilding wax.
The centre I have embossed with gold embossing powder, both the swirl and sentiment are from the new stamps.
This one just kinda came together, it is using the Pebbles Folder, I cut it into 1.5″ squares and then coloured using Distress Inks and mounted them using Collall 3D Gluegel.
I then cut the pennant and stamped the sentiment…from the new stamp sets and went around the edge using Distress inks.
I hope you like them, they really are great folders and stamps.
Make sure you check out the Crafter’s Companion Facebook Page for lots of other samples from the design team.

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all having a nice weekend ??
Over on Facebook there is a fab new crafting group called Passionate Paper Creations, it is a really friendly and fun group and this weekend they have teamed up with the lovely Simply Betty for a competition, Betty has drawn up a beautiful Mermaid which can be purchased here  and you need to colour her up in Jewel colours and post her on the Passionate Paper Creations group for a chance to win $15 to spend at Simply Betty Store…but just because Betty is so kind if you share your card on the Simply Betty Group  you get a chance to win two images from Betty !!! How fab is that ?
Anyway I decided to play along, the card ended up NOTHING like i’d planned, mainly because i realised i have NO purple papers…which considering it is my favorite colour that needs sorting haahaa
Here is my card…I hope you like her 🙂

I have coloured her using my Spectrum Noirs (list below), i added some purple embossing powder along with some frantage around the edges to give it some texture…what do you think ??
I loved colouring this…really need to colour more of Betty’s images !!

If you have time why not stop by the groups and join in 🙂

May….

Hello lovelies, how are you all ? I hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend.
I wanted to share with you a card a made using a beautiful Saturated Canary Image called May. Krista released a fab new year bundle which can be purchased here  I instantly fell in love May and had to colour her, I also used a fab tutorial on the Spectrum Noir blog by the lovely Lis about creating Shiny hair which can be found here, don’t forget we have tons of tutorials….and not just on colouring so make sure you check the blog out.
Anyway here is my card…I hope you like it
I went for one of my full on cards for this one…I hadn’t intended to, but hey that is often the case. She is of course coloured with my Spectrum Noirs (list below)

Ever find something and think “I didn’t even know i had that !!” well that was the case with this charm, I am a New Orleans Saints Fan (NFL Team) and this is their logo so I decided to sneek it on the card, the beautiful ivy die you can see if by Die’sire, and the flowers as always are I Am Roses with some Distress Ink added.
This little butterfly die is Bebunni die and i love it, the fence die is Die’sire and the beautiful papers are Michele R Designs
I love blue, but REALLY struggle to colour with it so i am really happy with how this turned out 🙂
I have used SN pencils for extra shading and depth on the Face, Love how they let you add that special something to your colouring. I also added some Midnight blue frantage and using silver and white pens I added some dots around her.
So there you go, I hope you like her, she was great to colour. Make sure you check out Lis’s Tutorial

Sheena’s new stamps and dies

Morning lovelies, I hope you are all well ? I know a lot of people are poorly at the moment, so sending lots of healing hugs to them.
The lovely Sheena Douglass is back on your screens on Monday at 9am & 4pm GMT on Create & Craft with her gorgeous stamps and matching dies.
I really cannot recommend these enough, they are fantastic quality and so versatile.
Anyway I wanted to share a couple more of my creations  (my original post showing some of my samples can be found here) that I made using them
This one I used my Aquatints to create the background and also colour the apples, I then added some white paint to the letters to make them pop slightly.
I LOVE this branch die and can see it being a firm favorite, I diecut the branch and leaves from Core’dinations cardstock and then sanded back slightly and added some Pebeo Gilding wax. The background is Aquatints and how perfect is this sentiment stamp ?
How cute is this fella ? this shows how detailed Sheena goes with her stamps, I love that you don’t have to colour them to create a really beautiful card.

Loved colouring this stamp, of course I have used my Spectrum Noirs to colour this and i then used the matching die set to create the border…the embossing detail on this dies are perfect.
So there you go, I hope you liked my samples, make sure you check out the shows, or why not head on over to the Crafter’s Companion Facebook Page or Sheena’s Facebook page to check out more gorgeous samples and for more info.

Just because

Hiya lovelies, I hope you are all well ? the weather has been pretty bad here in the uk recently so i do hope everyone is safe and keeping warm 🙂
Today’s card was a just because card, it wasn’t made for anything in particular and i just had a browse through my images and decided on this one.
I was in the mood for colouring flowers…do you ever get like that ? And I picked one of the images that comes with Spectrum Noir Pencils DVD.
I coloured it using my Spectrum Noir Pencils (list below) and set myself the challenge of using just one DP…which was HARD !!
The die is Die’sire Enchanted Spring. I was going to to leave the ribbon but thought it just added something. Anyway I hope you like it 🙂 I really enjoyed colouring it, it was nice to do a bit of non planned crafting for a change 🙂

CHA World Launch Spectrum Noir Aquas

I hope you all had a lovely holiday season…Happy New Year !!!
Sorry for my lack of blogging, for once I shut everything crafty down over the holiday period and enjoyed some time with the lovely other half and the furbabies…it was much needed and lovely.
I have something REALLY exciting to share with you today….well actually I have two things, come back later to check the other one out 😉
Spectrum Noir are doing a World Launch at CHA show this weekend of their new Markers, the Markers are Called Aqua’s and as the name might suggest they are a waterbased pen….and they are fantastic ! They are very highly pigmented and can be used in so many different ways….think backgrounds, embossing techniques, you can stamp with them, use them directly onto the paper and blend with water, use them via a pallet…lots and lots of ways.
They come in 4 sets of 12 – Essentials, Nature, Floral & Primary, and unlike other items in the Spectrum Noir Range they do not work via a number system, they instead use colour names.
Now I will admit at first i was wary..I haven’t watercoloured for many years, but once i got going i really have fallen in love with these…and they can be used along side the pencils too …Just think of the backgrounds !!
Me and the rest of Design Team were very lucky and were given a full set to play with and create some samples for CHA, so I wanted to share my samples that I created with you today.
This first one i have used one of the cute Moonbeam Meadow stamps…The one huge plus for me about these markers is you can get some lovely depth with them.
Colours I have used are – Navy, Sunflower, Slate, Chesnut, Blosson, Purple, Leaf Green & Kingfisher.

This is using a stamp by Treasured Times, you can on the sand that you can easily layer colours too, which isn’t always easy with Watercolours.
Colours I have used are- Topaz, Meadow, Teal, Aquamarine, Amber, Moss, Gold, Spice, Begonia & Burgundy.
This is probably my most favorite, and used Sheena Stamp, I have overstamped at the bottom. The colours i have used are-
Crimsom, Scarlet, Burgundy, Kingfisher, Leaf green & Teal.
This is a stamp I received free with a magazine many moons ago, I have over stamped it and used -Red Violet & Teal.

With this one I wanted to show it isn’t all about colouring. I have used a Sheena Stamp and stamped and then clear embossed, I then used Sunflower & Amber to create a wash over the top.
I hope you like the samples, the launch is being broadcast live from CHA on Create & Craft at 12pm GMT on Saturday 10th January.
The rest of the dt have created some really amazing samples, so make sure you check out the Spectrum Noir Facebook page to see them.

Tweedies Sneaky Peek

Morning Lovelies, I hope you are all well ? It’s like a proper winters day here today…still no snow though !!
Anyway onto the first new launch of the year from Crafter’s Companion….and boy what a lovely launch !!
The new range is by Abigail Mills who brought us the Halcyon Days range and it is gorgeous, it is a CD and a paperkit. Think texture, nature and slight vintage and shabby chic feel and that is this kit.
The range launches on Create & Craft as four day deal on Monday, but of course I had to share some sneaky peeks with you now 🙂
The first make is my favorite and I really did love making it, it is a Needle/Sewing Box…you have everything you need for this on the CD !! I have changed it slightly and printed out two sets of the draws and added the handle using some brads.

How cute is the fox ??? and do you see what I mean about texture. LOVE this range.
This is one of the handbag shaped cards from the CD Rom, I have added some flowers from my stash, and the 3D bow is also from the CD ROM.

This is from the card companion section of the CD ROM…I am horse crazy and have had horses all my life so i LOVE this, so nice to see something horsey on a CD ROM.
I will let you all know show times ASAP, make sure you check out the shows and the range, really is something for everyone with this range.
I will be back soon with some more sneaky peeks for you 🙂

CHA World Launch Sheena Douglass

Hello Lovelies, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas ? Happy New Year !!!
Sorry for my lack of being around, for once I decided to not do anything crafty and to spend as little time online as possible over the festive period, it was lovely spent some nice quality time with my better half and the furbabies 🙂

Anyway onto some exciting news !!!!
The lovely Sheena Douglass is going to be launching some amazing new products at CHA this weekend, and I was extremely lucky to be asked to make some samples.
We all know Sheena always creates amazing stamps…and these are no different, but this time Sheena also has matching dies !!!!!! I cannot tell you how excited I was when I found out and they cut amazing !! These are a MUST in my opinion and what I love is they don’t have to be used with the stamps, which makes them that bit more useful…and value for money !
Here is some of the samples I created for CHA.

This little cutie is one of the stamps that you can also get a matching die for…imagine trying to fussy cut him out !! I have coloured him using my Spectrum Noir Pencils.
The card is created using Distress inks and then stamping the Oak Leafs (also a new stamp) in Versamark and swirling some Mica powder over the top

The tree is another stamp that has a matching die, I have colouring it using Spectrum Noir Pencils.
The Daisy Border is one of the new dies from the launch…how cute is it ? and I love the sentiment (also from the launch)

I think this set my favorite…I know I know I always say that lol… But how pretty is that little bird house
I have coloured this using my Spectrum Noir Pencils, Colours used are- 87,84,97,98,109,111,64.

Something a big different…I had this mirror where the frame broke, so I removed what was left, mounted the Mirror onto Kraft card and then using the Leaf and Acorn Stamps and Dies I created the border, they are coloured using Distress Inks…Sheena nearly never got this as I was tempted to keep it for myself lol

This Frame die is just so beautiful !! and how pretty are the flowers ? Yep they also have a matching die, Love how this turned out and can see me using the flower stamp and die LOTS.

Make sure you tune into the shows on Create and Craft Monday 12th at 3pm GMT to check out all the new products and the amazing samples from the Inkoids.
I will be back and sharing some more samples from the show with you soon.
