You are so sweet !

Hello lovelies, I hope you have all had a lovely weekend ? We have had a weekend of watching lots of classic films and not doing much else and it has been great.
I wanted to share a card with you today that I have been meaning to do for a long time. Then I saw the challenge theme over at Lawnscaping Challenges (click image below to take you too the current challenge) and knew it would be perfect !
http://lawnscaping.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/lawnscaping-challenge-sweets-sponsored.html
I have used the Here’s The Scoop stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
LF440
This stamp set was one of my first ever Lawn Fawn sets and probably what started the addiction.
I have used a technique called Spotlight colouring, which the lovely Brianna did a great tutorial for on the Spectrum Noir blog and it can be found here.
I mixed it up slightly for my card and instead of using a pencil to draw out your spotlight area I diecut a circle.
I picked two of the stamps and randomally stamped them onto some watercolour cardstock using Versafine ink and then decided to add the cherry.
I have then used my Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils to colour this and used some greys to colour the background on the area that is not meant to be coloured.
The coloured spotlight I adhered to some black craft foam to give it some dimension which you can see in the picture below. I used black to match the black A2 card base.
For the sentiment I heat embossed the “you are so sweet” sentiment using white embossing powder onto some black cardstock and then I trimmed it down and cut one edge at a slant.
I then decided it needed a little something more so out came the sequins, I decided to stick with the theme and used clear and grey sequins on the “non coloured” area, and some clear Red, Orange & pink on the spotlight area. Then too finish off I added some Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.
If you have not used this technique I highly encourge you to, it is a lot of fun and I really like the finished card.
I hope you all have a great day.
Happy crafting

Clearly Besotted Just Hatched…

Hiya ! I hope you are all well and had a nice weekend ? Happy Spring !!
Sorry for not being about much over the last week.
I wanted to share a card today that I created using one of the new releases from Clearly Besotted Stamps and also the new Aquablend pencils from Spectrum Noir.
For those who haven’t heard of Clearly Besotted then I highly recommend them, Stephanie and the team are amazing and the stamps always stamp perfectly and range from seriously cute to some beautiful florals, and they also have matching dies for a lot of their sets. You can buy directly from Clearly Besotted on the link above, and I know in USA Simon Says Stamp and Ellen Hudson both sell them.
The Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils….Oh my !!! Now yes i am on the Spectrum Noir design team, but i will always be honest and I have to say I am in love with these pencils. My first colouring medium was watercolour so it is something I always have a huge soft spot for and these are perfect, they blend beautifully and come in a range of lovely colours and are really nice and bright too.
I finally have my camcorder and we are in the process of setting up so I can create crafting videos, I promise one of the first ones I will do will be using these pencils.
Anyway onto the card. I have used the seriously cute Hot Stuff stamp set.

How adorable is it ! I love dragons so really couldn’t resist this set.
I have used the little one hatching and the just hatched sentiment.

I have stamped using Versafine onto some Ranger Watercolour card and then I used my number 3 brush to take colour directly from the lead of the pencil.
I am very impressed at how well you can layer colour and create texture with the pencils, the dragon was coloured using a light green blended with some yellow and then i took a darker green and dotted the colour to create some texture and almost look scale like.
I added some very light shading around the little fella.
Around the edge of the finished piece I used two of the Avery Elle Pierced Rectangle dies, the joy of these dies is they don’t cut and just leave the piercing details so i was able to add this double dotted detail without having to worry about it cutting the rectangle out.
I then adheared a sheet from Lawn Fawns new let polka in the meadow paper pad onto a card base which is just slightly larger than A2.
I used some fun foam and adheared that onto the back of the watercoloured card and using some strong glue adheared that onto the card base.
What I love about this card is you could send it as an Easter/Spring card, but also for a new baby card. It is a set I will definitely be using lots of times.
I hope you like the card, thank you for stopping by today.

This way to my heart with Lil’Inker…

How is it Thursday already ! I swear someone stole a few days this week.
I hope you are all well and having a good week ? Mine has been quiet, and catching up on some reading and other bits around the house. My plain had been to do some crafting everyday, but it has just flown by.
I wanted to share a card I made using another fab stamp set from Lil’Inker designs called Rat Race (link is listed in the supplies list below)

To me I love the fun element to this set. I wanted to create a clean and simple card but with colour…if that makes any sense at all !

I love the colour combination of grey and lemon together so went with that for this card, and then for the sentiment and arrow went with black…I will be totally honest I did stamp them in grey and it just looked too washed out so i went with black instead.
I masked off the heart part of the sentiment and was going to then stamp the heart word down the bottom, but I decided to have that pop of red by using a glitter heart diecut.
I wanted this to be a flat card so would be easy for mailing if needed to be.
I have a few ideas for this set so you will be seeing it again soon 🙂
Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you all have a great day.

March Spectrum Noir Challenge – Show us your sparkle.

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend ?
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by my blog yesterday and left lovely comments, blogger seems to have deleted some ?!? not sure what has happened there.
It is new challenge time at Spectrum Noir and the theme this month is Show us your sparkle…so easy this one, all you have to do is use a Spectrum Noir Product on your project along with some sparkle…this can be glitter, sequins etc. And you can win some fab Spectrum Noir goodies.
For my DT make for the challenge I have used the super cute Love you Tons stamp set by Lawn Fawn. This card is actually my anniversary card for my lovely other half…he has survived 8 crazy years with me, not sure how but he deserves some sort of medal !
I have coloured these cuties with my Spectrum Noir Markers.
I stamped them in Memento London fog grey ink to give a nice soft look. For the background i have used Distress Inks. The sparkle is on those cute hearts which i die cut from glitter card and then put a coating of Glossy Accents over the top.
I heat embossing the sentiment which is from the Happy Everything set.
For the frame I have die cut some Neenah Solar white and some fun foam and adhered them together to give some dimension.
I finished the card off with some My Minds Eye patterned paper and created a A2 size Kraft Card base.
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing my card. If you click the link below it will take you to the Challenge. Supplies are listed at the bottom of this post.

Just for you

Hello lovelies, I hope you are well and having a good week, I know a lot of you have snow, and i am extremely jealous as we have had none !! But i know that some of you live remotely so I hope the weather isn’t too bad for you. It has been sunny and very spring like here.
I have had my window in my craft room wide open and it has been lovely…I would have still loved some snow though ! haahaa I know most of you don’t like it, but i love it.

I got some new goodies this week from Hero Art’s latest release, If you haven’t checked it out then definitely do so it is a great release with lots of lovely stamps.
They have released some mini stamp sets which i think are great because you don’t always want a huge set.
I have created a card using the below set designed by Lia Griffith called Just for you.
https://i1.wp.com/inkyfingersandribbon.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/SBC_hro-cl929.jpg?resize=144%2C200
I love the quirky little flowers and plants in this set so was excited to get my hands on it.
I wanted to create a nice clean and simple card.
I created a A2 note card and trimmed some Neenah Solar White to just under A2. The detailing along the edge is created using a fab die set from Lawn fawn which doesn’t cut, it just leaves stitching detail.
I stamped 3 of the plants and coloured them using Spectrum Noir markers.
I then stamped the sentiment using Versafine and mounted onto the card front using some fun foam.
I then decided to add some sparkle and have used Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen on the flower heads.
I love how this turned out. This shows the stitching detail on the die.
The shading around the plants was added using Spectrum Noir Markers.
Lots of ideas for this set, it would be great to create a small note card set, or even some plant labels.
List of supplies are below.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a great weekend.
