Spectrum Noir July Challenge Summer

Hiya lovelies, I do hope everyone is well ?
Before I dive into my card I wanted to say sorry, my blogging/visiting the last few months has been awful. We have been doing some stuff to the house and also I have had a few health scares….Everything is finally sorted out now and I am doing good 🙂
We are 100% back on track now, we have even finished my craft room ! So once all my crafty bits are unpacked I can go back to crafting everyday and blogging/visiting/creating more videos a lot more regularly. Thank you to everyone for sticking with me, and also the emails I have got from a few of you asking if everything is ok, it really does mean a lot and I am very blessed to have such great friends.
The challenge for Spectrum Noir for July is up and running and the theme is Summer …anything summer themed can be used so lots of fun can be had with this theme.
I have used a few bits from Simon Says Stamp….Everything is linked below, Including a really fun Ice Cream themed stamp set.
I randomly stamped the ice cream cone image using Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing ink onto some Strathmore Watercolour Card and then sprinkled over some white embossing powder and heat set. I used my Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils to colour them, these are watercolour pencils but instead of using water to blend them I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.
You can see in this picture how fab the sparkle is, and it blends the pencils really well.
I used Simons Scalloped Stitches wavy border die to cut off the bottom section and then used some Doodle Bug paper that I thought looked a bit like ice cream sprinkles….here in the UK we call them hundreds and thousands, not sure if you guys get them where you are.
I stamped the You’re so cool sentiment, but the curly ends didn’t go fully across the card, so I took a gel pen and extended them myself.
I mounted the whole card front onto some Fun Foam and adhered it to an A2 top folding card.
I then went in and added some Pretty Pink Posh Clear Sequins to finish the card off.
If you want to enter the challenge then click the banner below. You have to use at least one Spectrum Noir product, but you could win some fab Spectrum Noir Goodies. Plus all the Design Team love seeing what everyone creates for the challenges.

Lovely card. I have never through to use the sparkle pen as a blender, thanks for sharing. Creative Blessings, Tracy x

Mmmmm, I would be craving ice cream now if it wasn't for the fact that I enjoyed a double peanut magnum earlier today!
This looks so pretty in pastel shades with the sparkle on top and that paper really does look like hundreds and thousands…brilliant!
It's good to hear you are ok and things are settling down for you after what sounds like a busy time.
Big hugs, Kat xx

I've not been doing a lot of visiting either lately, I just don't have the time these days!
I love your sweet & very cool ice-cream card! It's just brilliant! The colours are just like sugar sprinkles!
