Clearly Besotted With some Sparkle

Hey, I hope everyone had a nice weekend ?
We did some planning for the garden and also for the remaining rooms in the house we have left to decorate, and dare I say it….Christmas !
Those who are on my Facebook know one of my favorite stamp companies are Clearly Besotted and their last release was, in my opinion one of their best.
From their last release was this super cute and fun set called “Be Lucky”.
Be lucky
As soon as I saw the samples using it I knew I HAD to get it….you all know what it is like.
My first card with the set had to be that cute unicorn.
My original thought was to colour using my pencils, but a few people have asked about blending with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens, so I thought a sparkly unicorn was too good not to do.
In the video below I show how I blend the pens, and also how I created the whole card, which includes using the Clear Sparkle Pen with Water based markers. I have also shown a way to use Press’n Seal when Ink Blending.
I hope you enjoyed the video. I changed the video and went for a lot less text…let me know what you think, I REALLY do value your opinions.

If you want a set that is fun and easy to colour then I highly encourage you to get this one, and how could you resist the cuteness !!!
As always I have linked all the supplies used below.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
I hope you have an amazing day & Happy crafting

Festive Card Series #2 – Using non holiday/festive stamps

Hey lovelies, I hope you are all well ?
When I started my Youtube Channel I wanted to start a festive card series where each month I posted something I had created for the holiday season…Part 1 can be found here
Due to all the computer issues I had Part 2 has been very delayed, but as they say better late than never !
I think most crafters like to make their stash go further if they can, so I wanted to show that you don’t have to buy, or use festive/holiday themed stamps to create a holiday card.
The stamp I have used is by Hero Arts and is called Kelly’s Background Star (all supplies are listed below with links) and I thought the stars worked well for a festive card.
The sentiment is from a fab sentiment set from Hero Arts that has tons of everyday sentiments on, and again I thought it worked well for this card, it is a great sentiment if you want a general holiday card rather than a Christmas themed one, but would work just as well for a Christmas Card.
Below is the Video of how i made the card, Enjoy.
I hope you enjoyed the video.
I really do encocurage you to check through your stash for items you could use for different holidays, I was surprised how many I had, it makes them so much better value for money 🙂
This card could also easily be used to produce a batch, and that is what I am planing on doing with them, maybe try out some different colours.
If you do create something with items that were not intended for that occasion please share them with me, I’d love to see what you create.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have an amazing day.

Concord & 9th- I think you’re delightful

Hey guys.  I hope you are all having a good week ?
We have finally got all things electrical wise sorted so I am back to posting videos !!
For those who haven’t check out my YouTube channel it can be found by clicking here or the link in the sidebar.
It is a new channel with only a couple of videos, but now that I can edit videos again I have lots planned for it….if there is anything you would like to see a video on, then let me know 🙂
I have after a long wait finally got my hands on a couple of Concord & 9th Stamp sets that I have been itching to get hold of, but there in the UK they kept selling out !
One of them is called Brushed Blossoms
Brushed Blossom
I fell in love with this set because it has so much in it ! It is a layering stamp set, but as I have shown below you don’t have to use it that way. I also love the brush font sentiments, and that a couple are something a bit different.
I also managed to get hold of the Stripe Builder Set.
Stripe Builder
Which after using I am SO pleased I got hold of it, tons of potential with this set.
This month is Concord & 9th’s 1st Birthday and they have had a ton of guests helping them celebrate….click here for their blog
They are also giving away $20 gift cards and sharing tons of inspiration.
If you are on Instagram and search the above hashtag you will see some amazing projects, all using Concord & 9th’s products.
I also just wanted to wish Greg & Angie a very happy birthday and know there will be lots more to come.
For my card I decided to use just the base layer of the flower stamp in Brushed Blossoms, alone with my Spectrum Aqua Markers to create some dimensional stamping.
In the video below I show how I achieved the effect and made the overall card.
Enjoy 🙂
I hope you enjoyed the video. I have included the supplies list here on my below, as well as on the description on YouTube.
The sequins I have used are no longer available, but I have linked to some alternatives from Pretty Pink Posh.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, If you have not checked out Concord & 9th then I highly encourage you to do so as they really are brilliant stamps & dies.
I hope you all have an amazing day.

I love you rain or Shine – Clearly Besotted

Hey lovelies, I hope you had a nice weekend ?

Today I am sharing a card I made using the April Showers Die & Stamp Set. Now this stamp set has just been discontinued, but I have linked below to Simon Says Stamp who still has it, so i’d grab it whilst you can.
This was a total non planned just sat down to make a card kinda card, this is how most of my cards are now and I actually enjoy crafting this way.

I started off by stamping and colouring the main umbrella, I used my Spectrum Noir Markers BT1 & BT2 and then to add a little bit of depth I used Duck Egg Colorblend Pencil.
I then die cut this out using the coordinating die.

I then took Tiny Hearts Stencil from Simon Says Stamp and using Stormy Sky Distress Ink and Round blending tool I created the background.
I then die cut this, and the Patterned Paper (Lawn Fawn) and die cut using Wplus9 Sunshine Layers dies.

I adhered the patterned paper panel to a top fold A2 size card base which I created from Neenah solar white card stock. I used some foam tape to give some dimension.

I stamped the sentiment onto black card stock and white heat embossed the sentiment and trimmed it down and adhered it to the bottom section of the stenciled panel.
I then added some foam tape to the back of the umbrella and adhered the panel.
I then decided the card needed something else so using Mama Elephant Confetti Cuts I die cut some hearts from red glitter card and scattered them across the card.
I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle and Glossy Accents to the Umbrella, and some Glossy accents to the glittered hearts.
I love using Glossy Accents & The clear Sparkle pens together, it really gives so much dimension and interest. You can also see I added some Glossy accents to the umbrella handle.

Thank you much for stopping by today.
I hope you all have an amazing day.

Colorista is coming…

Hey lovelies, I hope you are well ?
Some of you might have seen that Spectrum Noir is launching  new range called Colorista.
This is a range of coloring books, pencils & pens and I was very lucky to be able to play with the goodies before their release.
Before I show you some of my coloring I also wanted to let you know that Spectrum Noir are offering an 8 week FREE coloring course where you will receive e-books, downloads & video content, whilst this is based around the Colorista Range it will cover coloring basics that can be used within card making, and hey it is free so what do you have to lose ?
You can sign up for the course here
The Colorista range is something I have to be 100% honest about, I have tried the adult coloring books…infact I have a few, but didn’t like them as I found the paper quality was poor.
Me and the rest of the team working with the books have all commented on how amazing the cardstock in the books are….honestly its like coloring with butter on it, such smooth blending with pens & pencils !
The books also come in a variety of different finishes including Foil (for use with pencils) and also colourable glitter ! (for use with markers). They also come in A4 and smaller A5 size and with a number of different themes.
Anyway here is some of my colouring that I have done with the range.
With the range you can also buy a USB stick which is preloaded with tons of printable pages for you.
I printed one out, coloured the flowers and then made a card.
This is one of the A4 Foil books, I colored it using my pencils and then went over the top with my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle. I have not used any blending solution, this shows how fab the pencils and also the paper are.

This is another one of the foiled books, but this is smaller A5…perfect for taking out and about.
For this one I again coloured with pencils but then one the butterflies I went over them with my Black Spectrum Noir sparkle pen and using a clean cloth I dabbed the color which left this effect.
This was a total fun, going in with lots of random colors type coloring.
This is an A5 Glitter pad. Most of the flowers and house are glitter so you can see how well it allows you to blend with your markers.
I loved colouring this one….but then I am a huge fan of lilies. It is from the USB and printed onto Neenah and coloured using the new Colorista Markers.
This is A4 from one of the larger books, and although it took me ages it honestly was so relaxing and i really enjoyed it.
For this one I wanted to show the how the pages looked coloured, against uncolored.
Along with the books Spectrum Noir are also launching a new range of pens and pencils specifically for the range.
The pens are Alcohol based Markers but come with a bullet nib and an ultra fine nib for all those tiny areas.
The range will be launching on HSN in USA at the end of August and then launching here in the UK soon after.
To be kept upto date with everything make sure you check out the Spectrum Noir Facebook page where there is also a ton of sample pics being shown from my amazingly talented teamies.
I will also have some more samples coming soon to show what you can do with your pages when you have finished colouring them.
I hope you all have a great day, thank you for stopping by.

Spectrum Noir August Challenge Anything Goes- Clearly Besotted No lines

Hey lovelies, I hope you are all well ?
I have been having a mini holiday of sorts, we don’t go away due to all the furbabies, but we decided to have a week of total “us” time and it has been fantastic !…But I am glad to be back to crafting.
It is new challenge time over at Spectrum Noir and the theme this month is Anything Goes, you cannot get anymore simple than that.
All you need to use is a Spectrum Noir product and you can win some fab goodies.
For this months challenge I have used a beautiful stamp set from Clearly Besotted called “To You With Love”
To You With Love
As soon as I saw it i thought No lines !! So that was what I went with.
I stamp the image several times using Old Paper Distress Ink onto some Strathmore Watercolor Card (all supplies & links are listed below) and then water coloured using Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils.
My Gran was an amazing rose grower and I always remember her having rich yellow roses with pink edges and I loved those roses, so I wanted to try and recreate them for this card, which I did but they are no where near as pretty as hers were.
Once they was done and dry I decided to add some blue shading around them and wash it out towards the opposite corner.
I applied a second layer of the blue around the roses to give them some real deep shading and make them pop.
For the card base I created a top folding A2 card base and then took the same stamp and stamped along one side. Now I did originally stamp in an orange inkpad but I really didn’t like it, so I took my Gold Gel pen and traced over the top and I really like the effect it has given.
Once I adhered the water coloured panel to the card base I trimmed some Gold glitter washi and black card down to narrow strips and added them along the side.
I heat embossed the sentiment….looking at these pics i did the “to you” wonky !!! but when i look at the actual card it looks straight…I should have used my Misti.
I adhered them to the card using foam adhesive and finished the card off with some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins.
I hope you like the card, it really was so relaxing to create.
If you want to enter the challenge then click on the banner below, check out all my awesome teamies creations whilst you are there.
