This week the challenge is
Anything Goes

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

50dollar_voucher_600px

I wanted to do something slightly different so I die cut the center circle out and used several of the stamps from Layers Of Love stamp set and then put that to one side whilst I stamped all the different flowers & leaves. These were from the Painted Thanks set and I used inks from Simon & Archival. I wanted it too look kinda messy if that makes sense and almost wild flower like…not sure if thats what I achieved
To finish off I foam mounted the panel and added some sequins.

So now it’s YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Festive Card Series 2016- Hero Arts Snow Globe ( My Monthly Hero)

Hey lovelies, I hope you are well ?
For all my friends who celebrate Thanksgiving a belated Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you all had a lovely day.
For today’s cards I have used the October My Monthly Hero card kit.
These kits are amazing, they sell out FAST and contain so much amazing products which are not available to buy outside the kit.
I have had a couple of people ask about buying the kits from outside the US, I am not in the US and did get some import charges, but it still made the kit less than $60 and for what I got I am very happy.
For more information on the kits (I think the November Kit is still available) then click here.
The kit I got comes with everything to make some fantastic snow globe style shaker cards, but I have ALOT of cards to send overseas so I am really wanting to keep mailing costs down and decided to go for a kinda snow globe look without the shaker element.

I have used Spectrum Noir Markers to create the sky, but you could use any markers or inks that you have.
Here is a closer look at all the cards.
I added some extra details such as the “magic dust” coming off the Sleigh using my white gel pen.
The sequins and seed beads are also from the same kit.
I added a couple of touches of silver glitter jelly roll pen around some of the cards too, just to give them a little something extra.
On this one I added some silver glitter glue to the snowman and tree.
I Hope you like the cards, I really enjoyed creating them and I am in love with this kit and highly recommend them.
I hope you all have an amazing weekend.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Happy Crafting

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge #396- A Christmas To Die For.

And here is my card for the challenge.

This card was a nightmare to photograph I cannot tell you how many different angles, or lighting I tried, the sequins really are a lot more crystal like.
I have used Ring Wreath Die (all are linked below) and I triple die cut it out of Neenah and then adhered them all together to give some dimension.
I then took Simons Crystal Sequins and just randomally stuck them down using some Ranger Multi Medium Matt.
For the Sentiment I used the Merry & Bright Die from Simon and coloured it with my Spectrum Noirs and added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen and glossy accents
Once that was dry I adhered it to the wreath.
I wanted to go for something bright and fun, but this card would look beautiful with just clear sequins or gems. The great thing about this die is that it is so versatile.

I did have a video for this week but something went wrong in editing and I ended up with half a video ! So I will recreate this card using different sequins soon.

So now it’s YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Spectrum Noir November Challenge

Hey lovelies, I hope you are all having a great week 🙂
Today I wanted to share with you my cards for this months Spectrum Noir challenge.
In case you hadn’t seen we have changed the challenge up a bit and the theme is always Anything Goes, but in order to win a Spectrum Noir prize package you need to follow the optional theme, which this month is Christmas.
http://a.pgtb.me/nTsF1h
I made not one card, but 3 for the challenge…well they are all similar just some different colours 🙂
I couldn’t resist this set when Clearly Besotted released it and have used it on most of my cards for close friends and family, I really do love him and so much fun to colour.
I used my Spectrum Noir Colourblend Pencils to colour all 3 and my IG1 & IG2 markers to draw a snowy ground (show up better in real life).
I coloured each image the same other than their saddles and scarfs and then I matched the trims down the side of the card to that colour.
I added some glitter detailing using my Quicky Glue pen and Elizabeth Crafts Diamond Glitter to this one, but I dont like the purple tone it gave so I would miss that out in future, for the others I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen which looks better.
For the sentiments I used the Basic Banner 3 set and matching die and stamped using Ranger dye ink.
For the background I used a snow stamp from last months Hero Arts kit with some silver pigment ink to give some shimmer, really like how this turned out.
The paper I used is sadly not in stock anywhere ( I am guessing it has been discontinued), it is Lawn Fawn 12 x 12 Peace Joy Love.
I resisted adding any sequins etc to these as I thought they didn’t really need it.
I hope you all like the cards, I really do highly recommend the set to everyone.
Don’t forget to check out the challenge
Have a lovely weekend and happy crafting

And here is my card for the challenge.
Ok so don’t judge but this is the first ever House Mouse Stamped card I have made, I have always loved the little mouse and used to make a fair few cards featuring the pre coloured images years ago, but this is my first that I have coloured, I loved it ! he really is such a cutie and so much fun to colour
For the image I have coloured it using my Spectrum Noir Markers and added some extra sparkle using Spectrum Noir Gold Sparkle pen. I also used my white gel pen to add some “snow” and detailing.

So now it’s YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Spectrum Noir tutorial Using Concord & 9th

Hey lovelies, I do hope you all have a nice weekend ?
It was cold and wet here, but as many of you know I love the winter so for me I pulled on my fluffy pj’s and socks and crafted for most of it.
I have a tutorial on the Spectrum Noir Blog about how I use refill inks to custom shaker material.
The tutorial can be found here and is a quick and easy method and one that’s good for when you need a specific colour…if you are anything like me the colour I need seems to always be the one I don’t have !
The card I created Is a Clean and Simple Christmas card using products from Concord & 9th.

I LOVE this Joy die, I really adore scripty font dies, but sometimes it is nice to have a nice block font. I have also used Stripe Builder Set from Concord & 9th which I stamped before die cutting.
I used my Fuse tool for the shaker pockets as I wanted this card to be fairly flat and also as the letters are quite close together I knew foam tape would be a nightmare to try and separate the different letter areas.  I finished the card off with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins & some gems.
I do hope you will head on over and check the tutorial out.
Thank you for stopping by.
Have an amazing day & happy crafting

50dollar_voucher_600px

And here is my card for the challenge.
As soon as I saw we was using Tim Holtz products I had to get out my Distress Inks and for this card I have used- Bundled Sage, Ripe Persimmon & Barn Door (all are linked below), along with The Autumn Greetings Stamp Set from Simon.
For the gold spalts I used my Spectrum Noir gold sparkle pen and squeezed some out onto an acrylic block and then flicked across the card.
I finished the card off by heat embossing the sentiment onto some vellum and adhering to the card.

So now it’s YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Simon Says Stamp – You are loved

Hey lovelies, I hope you are all well ?
A huge thank you for all the comments on my last post & video…You guys rock !
I wanted to share with you a card I made today using a fab stamp set & die from Simon Says Stamp
called You.
Simon Says Stamp YOU Craft Die S146 Preview Image
They are sold separately but as you can see they work perfectly together.
As always I have linked below all products used.
I also wanted to give my new Clarity Stencil Brushes a whirl.
If you haven’t tried these then you HAVE too !! they give AMAZING ink blending which is soft (you can easily build it up) and no marks like the ink blending tools leave sometimes…don’t get me wrong I still love my ink blending tools but these brushes will make things SO much easier, they are slightly expensive but definitively worth it.
Anyway onto the card.
I used the stamp set and arranged it onto my misti to create a background stamp effect onto some Neenah card, and then heat embossed using Simon’s White Fine Detail Embossing powder.
This is another way to get more out of your sentiment sets and can be done in so many different ways.
I then used Clarity Stencil Brushes to swirl over Simon’s Dye Ink in the following colour’s-
Island Blue
Fern
Coral Reef
I die cut the panel out using a stitched rectangle die from MFT Blueprints 29 set.
I then used the You die to die cut some Neenah 3 times and then heat embossed one  twice using Fine detail gold embossing powder. I then adhered this on top of the two other dies to give it some dimension.
For the sentiment “are loved” I heat embossed it using the same white detail embossing powder onto some Kraft card and trimmed it to fit against the die cut.
I felt it still needed something, so I die cut a circle of vellum and trimmed the edge and adhered it to the panel with the sentiment die and strip on top.
I used an A2 top folding card base to adhere this all too and finished the whole thing off with a gold heart from Pretty Pink Posh.
This card would be perfect to send to so many different people, and I love how different the inks look when used with the brushes.
I hope I have inspired you to try something slightly different with your sentiment sets.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have an amazing day !
