Spectrum Noir March Challenge

Hey lovelies, I hope you are all having a nice week ? As you may have noticed I finally made the switch from Blogger to WordPress, My old blog is set up to redirect here….if that isn’t happening then please let me know.

I wanted to share with you today my card for this months challenge over at Spectrum Noir.

The theme is to follow a sketch In order to be eligible to win a prize you need to follow the theme, or you can submit an anything goes project and although you won’t be eligible to win the £30/$30 of Spectrum Noir goodies you will still be eligible for Top Card honours.

The sketch this month was created by me and is a nice and easy one to follow.

For my card for this months challenge I used Freestyle Florals Stamp Set from Mama Elephant and coloured it used my Spectrum Noir Markers & Illustrator Markers.

Yellow and Grey is one of my favourite colour combinations, I love how the yellow always pops against the grey.

I coloured 3 of the flowers and some of the leafs and then cut them out, I was going to leave a white border but decided against that.

To give a neater look I went around the edges using my Memento Black marker.

For the background I used a pad from Simple Stories along with some of Simon Says Stamp Glimmer Card Stock.

I was going to put the sentiment down the bottom and follow the sketch exactly but decided it looked better in the centre.

The sentiment is a die from Simon Says Stamp which I diet from their Fog card stock and then added a layer of Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle.

When I adhered the card together I kept everything flat apart from the centre flower which I adhered with some foam tape to give some dimension.

The clear drops are from Studio Katia and are so pretty.

I finally finished off by adding some detailing with my white gel pen.

I hope you will join us in this months challenge, I cannot wait to see what you create.
