STAMPtember Simon Saturday !!

Thats right STAMPtember is FINALLY here !

For those who are wondering what is this STAMPtember I keep talking about then let me explain.

STAMPtember is a celebration that Simon Says Stamp holds through the month of September to celebrate all things stamp and craft, it is a way to bring everyone together through their love of stamping. There is lots of giveaways, exclusive collaborations with other craft companies, blog hops, sales and so much more.

STAMPtember is extra special for me as it was when I first joined the Simon family and I am SO grateful that I get to be part of this amazing and talented family.

As  something bit different throughout STAMPtember I will be doing a Simon Saturday every Saturday throughout STAMPtember and I will be having an extra special giveaway at the end of the month so stay tuned for that.

I am very lucky that I did get some of the STAMPtember products sent to me to play with so I will sharing my honest review of them throughout the month along with projects I will create with them and also any other ideas I have with them. I will also share any other goodies that I will be buying.

If you want to stay upto date on everything for STAMPtember then make sure you check out the Simon Says Stamp blog everyday for the latest news, Heidi loves to surprise us so you know what could be coming….although I do happen to know that the Lawn Fawn exclusive will be available this Monday !

There will also be a Facebook live every Friday at 1pm ET so make sure you check that out.

I know some of the stuff that is going to be launched and happening during STAMPtember and trust me you don’t want to miss it.

So one of the sets I got sent was If The Hat Fits

I instantly loved this as I love all things Halloween, I LOVE the sentiments with this and they are so different to a lot of the witchy sets out there.

The card I created was totally unplanned and I just sat and coloured and the rest came together.

I love the sassiness of this sentiment and the font is awesome !

I coloured the hat with Spectrum Noir Markers and added some shading around it to give look of dimension and used Simon’s Wonky Rectangle dies to cut it out.

The paper I used is by MFT and went perfectly with the theme….I did realise I have NO halloween papers !!

I went a bit OTT with sequins, but hey it isn’t a Tracy card without them right ?

I finished off with some Sparkle using Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.

I have stamped this set out multiple times because the hat really was so fun to colour.

You all know by now I love Stencils and this time I was so happy to see Simon had realised a smaller stencil.

This Damask stencil is so pretty and a really nice size too (it measures 3 inches x 3 inches)

I really do have tons of ideas for this and the size it is I can so many gorgeous projects being created with this. I wanted to do something super simple for my first card with this and show you don’t have to use tons of inks etc to get a nice effect with stencils.

I used the stencil off page and using Clarity Stencil brush and Distress Ink in Wild Honey I applied a very light layer on the bottom and top pieces, I then added the stencil to the centre area, still off to the side but slightly more centred than the other two and I went in a lot heavier with the ink this time.

The sentiments are from another favourite from this release that is called Together and has some beautiful sentiments including some build able ones.

I used the Together word and heat embossed it with Simons Fine detail gold powder and then under this used the We can do anything sentiment and stamped it with Simons Black ink.

I adhered this to an A2 top folding notecard and hey I resisted the sequins on this ! I really do love this stencil and highly recommend it.

So what are your favourites from this release ? I know for me I love all the background stamps that have been released and the holiday stamp sets are just fantastic.

Let me know in the comments if there is anything you are buying, what you would like to see me create something with or just what you think of the whole release so far.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed your visit and have an awesome day

Happy Crafting

This is one of my favorite SSS releases, that’s for sure! I love the grid collection, stencil you used (GORGEOUS card!), the leaves & ornate bg stamps, Let us Rejoice, Ornate Leaves–OK, that’s enough–haha! I’d love to see you use any of these products including all the other new stencils, but if by chance you get the Ornate Leaves that would be my first request. I’m drawn to the stamp set, but not sure how I’d use it. Wishing you a great weekend, Tracy!

Thanks so much Greta it is an amazing release that will be hard to top.
Luckily the ornate leaves is sitting in my basket so watch this space !
You too 😀

Oh wow, your coloring of the witches hat is absolutely gorgeous. Love the shading!

And that damask stencil looks so pretty 🙂

Thanks so much Jeanie I really enjoyed colouring it 🙂

Tracy, I love both of these cards using the new Simon goodies! Your coloring is amazing on the hat and I love the damask edging paired with the sentiment on the second card!

Thanks so much for your lovely comment Wanda x
