Simon Saturday- November Card Kit

Hey guys, I hope you are all having a great weekend.

It’s Time for another

This week I wanted to share the November card kit with you as it is, in my opinion one of the most beautiful card kits this year.

As of me typing this the kit is still available and can be purchased  as a one off kit here or if you would rather save $5 per month you can sign up to the subscription here, you can cancel the subscription at anytime and it is certainly worth it as a lot of the time their kits sell out stupidly fast. I will list below all the elements from the kit separately incase the kit sells out, or if you only want to purchase certain pieces from the kit.

All supplies are listed at the bottom of this post.

One of the things i love about this months kit is for the first time Simon has created a 6×8 stamp set full of gorgeous kindness related sentiments as well as some beautiful floral images.

The kit also includes 6×6 papers and stickers from Pebbles Heart of Home collection which is full of neutral, natural tones and is very pretty.

Now anyone that knows me knows I hoard certain papers and don’t like to cut into them and I have to confess I had a really hard time with this kit as I didn’t want to use the papers (between me and you I still couldn’t bring myself to cut into some of the papers).

For my first card I stamped the main stamp from the set onto some Kraft card and heat embossed using Simons Gold embossing powder and coloured the whole piece using Spectrum Noir Metallic pencils.

Also included in the kit is a die which die cuts the kind word section out of the stamp which I think it is great and allows for a few different techniques, for this card I just popped it up with some foam tape. I die cut the edge using one of Simon’s Twisted Stitch border dies and adhered the piece to a panel of the paper and adhered all this to a card base. I really like the effect of the pencils with this stamp….it was so hard to show them on camera.

For the next few cards I challenged myself to use main elements from the sticker sheet. In the paper pad is also a couple of element sheets of quotes, tags etc and for this card I trimmed one out and used it with one of the House stickers.

This sentiment is just perfect and SO very true. I picked some paper from the pack to go with it and to add some extra detail to the card I die cut a panel of Simon’s cream card (included in the kit) using their smallest Wonky Stitched rectangle die. I added some dimension by adding foam tape to the house and also used some Studio Katia Copper Sequins to finish off.

The next card I loved the sticker I used and wanted it to be a simple card with that as the main focus.

I adhered one of patterned papers to a top folding A2 Notecard and heat embossed one of the sentiments from the set onto some card from the kit. For the heart I went with some Fog card as this matched the grey on the bird. Again with the sticker I popped it up with some foam tape. I was really tempted to add some twine or Nuvo Drops but decided to leave it as is.

This really is a beautiful kit, if like me you are not someone who tends to use stickers etc I encourage you to get this as the stickers included in this kit are really very beautiful and that stamp set is a must have.
