Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge #407 Cute

Hey lovelies, I hope you are well and having a nice week ?
It is Wednesday which means it is time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

It is time for a new challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday ChallengeThis week the challenge is:

Cute

This week we are showcasing Wild Rose Studio You don’t have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see what you create with them.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I used a really sweet stamp set called Owls on a Branch to create my card for this weeks challenge.

I water coloured the image using my Spectrum Aqua Markers and wanted the image to be the main focal point so I just added a Stitched frame border and mounted the piece onto some Plaid paper that I was gifted a few years ago, I thought it went perfectly with the image.

The sentiment I stamped in Simon’s Cobblestone ink (the same i used to stamp the image) this is a lovely ink if you want something softer than black.

I added some white dots to the hats, stockings and owls along with some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle. The card was finished off with some May Arts Twine.

So now it’s YOUR turn.

I have used my favorite Reverse Confetti Stamp Set for this card, the super cute Coffee & You.

I decided to go for some No Line pencil coloring for the image.

I wanted the image to be the main focal point so I used Simons Clear Ink to stamp the coffee cup from this set along with a small heart stamp from Simon’s Ranunculus stamp set, I used my Spectrum Noir Gold Sparkle pen along with gold gel pen to add some colour the to the star on the cups & some Clear Sparkle pen to the hearts.
For the image I stamped him onto some Kraft card Using Simon’s Barely Beige ink and then coloured him using my Spectrum Noir Colourblend Pencils.
To add some dimension I die cut a heart and adhered it to the cup and added some glossy accents.
I loved creating this card and love the sweet image.

Friend Bokeh

Hey I hope you all had a nice weekend ? Mine was quiet but lovely, we had lots of family time which is always good.

Today I wanted continue sharing cards I made over the Christmas period.
I am a huge fan of Bokeh (if you look at my blog header I have even used Bokeh in that) I love the softness of it and how different it can look.
I had an idea in my head for months to be honest about creating a bokeh style card using Rangers Mini Round blending tools and this is how this card came about.
One of my favorite colors is Grey….You may think boring but I love it, especially with a pop of color added. So to create this I used one of my favorite Grey ink pads- Cobblestone from Simon Says Stamp for the darkest color and all you need to do is ink up your blending tool then making sure it is flat to the card twist it to give you a nice circle.
For the lighter grey I used Simon’s Barely Beige…which yes i know it isn’t a grey but it does have a grey tone to it, I randomly placed the circles all over the card stock…which is Simon’s White card, making sure to overlap the circles.
When I was happy I used my Clarity Stencil brush and went over the whole piece with Cobblestone, with the brushes I always “blot” off a lot of the color and very gently and slowly build the layers up and it worked well for this card as I didn’t want it too dark, I wanted to get rid of the white showing and to soften the circles.
When this was done I took Simons White ink and added a couple of circles over the top…this was a total experiment but i really like how it turned out.
I used Simon’s Painted friend die and cut it 3 times from Simon’s Fog cardstock and adhered them together to give some added dimension and used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen to add some sparkle to the friend die.
For a pop of color I used Mama elephants Confetti Cuts die and Simon’s School house red card stock and die cut the hearts which I added some Sparkle and Glossy accents too.
I created an A2 card base from Fog card and adhered the panel to it.
My plan is too make some more of these using different colors and inks to see how it works out, but I am really happy with it and it is another nice any occasion for a friend card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Don’t forget this weeks challenge for Simon Says Stamp is Anything Goes and you still have a few more days to enter click here to check it out .
I hope you all have a great day.

Some quick and easy cards for all occasions with Simon Says Stamp & Spectrum Aqua.

So you may remember that in my last blog post I mentioned finding a pile of cards I had made over the Christmas period that I had totally forgotten about…well today I decided to blog some of them.
One of the main things I want to start doing a lot more of is sending cards just for the sake of it, or to just make someone smile, so I wanted to start making a stockpile of the cards so I have them ready to go.
And that is where these cards came in, they was easy to create and perfect for any occasion.
I created the cards using my Spectrum Aqua Markers onto some Strathmore card stock and then added the beautiful Cottage Stems Die from Simon Says Stamp.
For this card I used Spectrum Aqua markers- Aquamarine & Purple
This one I tried to go for a lot softer look and used Peach & Blossom Aqua Markers and also added some flicks of colour.
This one I thought the colours went well with the sentiment and used Sunflower & Amber markers.
And for the final one I used Seq Green & Magenta Aqua Markers…I think this one is my favorite.
For all the cards I adhered two of the die cuts together to give them some dimension.
They are all A2 sized so it shows what a lovely size die the Cottage Stem die is.
For the sentiments I used Pink Fresh Studio Felicity Sticker phrases. I don’t often use stickers, don’t get me wrong I own lots but can never bring myself to use them !…I know I am a total weirdo.
These just seemed so perfect for the cards and I loved the sentiments and fitted perfectly at the base of the die.
I die cut the panel using Stitched rectangle from MFT Blueprints 29.
I adhered some fun foam to the back of the panel as it was pretty warped from the water.
I finished each card off with some sequins.
And there you go some whatever the occasion cards all ready to go.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and also I have to say a huge thank you for all the emails, cards and messages about my health you guys don’t know how much it all means. THANK YOU so so much.
I do have some other cards from the pile I will be blogging soon.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

I have used a couple of Simon Says Stamp products on my card today along with some ink blending.

I wanted to do something slightly different with the Corbel Border die so I used it on a diagonal and die cut it twice.

The ink blending underneath was done using some Hero Arts Dye inks and I used the same pink on the thanks sentiment.

To add a little something more I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen to add some bling.

So now it’s YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

I actually used a Christmas stamp set along with a birthday sentiment for this card.

I stamped the little Sparrows using Simons Barely Beige ink…trust me you NEED this ink pad it is PERFECT for no lines.

I then used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens to colour them all.

For the background I used Spun Sugar, Peacock Feathers & Twisted Citron Distress Inks and then added some Shimmer spray.

The Sentiment is also by Lawn Fawn and is from their Happy Everything sentiment set. I heat embossed this with Simons White Fine detail powder.

I used Lawn Fawns Stitched Square Dies and Stitched Square Frame Dies, along with their Perfect Plaid 6×6 pad to finish the card off.

I also added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle to to the birdies.

I decided to make a Happy 2017 card for this weeks challenge and I did some ink smooshing using my Spectrum Aqua Markers.

This is such a fun technique….I even got Mr Inky doing it with me. If you haven’t tried it then I highly recommend it.

I used my Aqua Markers but it can be done with with Distress Inks and watercolour paints.

I created several panels but decided to use this one which I due cut using Stitched Rectangle die.

The Happy sentiment I die cut from some black card and then when over it with my Spectrum Noir Sterling Silver Sparkle Pen.

I then die cut the numbers from some Silver Glitter card.

I adhered everything to the panel using some Multi Medium Matte, and once it was dry I added some shadows to the numbers using a black gel pen.
I then added some sequins and adhered to a black A2 note card.
This picture shows some of the sparkle on the Happy Die cut.

I really had lots of fun getting inky with this card.

So now it’s YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

I always work with white card but decided to go with black card for this.
I used a background stamp (all items are listed & linked below) and stamped it with Hero Arts Ombre Vintage Pigment ink and then heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder.
To give it some extra sparkle I then brushed over the top using Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen in gold.

I die cut the piece using some square dies and also die cut a square from the center and mounted some gold card stock behind it.
For the sentiment I  heat embossed it and used Simon’s Gold Embossing powder.
Once everything was adhered to the card I finished off by adding some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Star Sequins.
It was so hard to photograph this card but it has lots of sparkle and I love the effect from the Ombre ink.

So now it’s YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Hey lovelies.

For the background I used my Clarity Brushes along with some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
I then used the A2 Curved edge die from Simon Says Stamp to create the curved bottom and added a strip of paper from Authenticate.
