Visible Image….Jake Skates

Morning all 🙂 It’s Saturday which means Visible image time !

I have been playing with the fab Jake Skates Stamp set

I had so much fun making this card, and the whole card is made with Visible Image Stamps.
This shows a close up of the strip of skateboards, it also shows how brilliant the border stamp is…both these stamps come with Jake Skates Stamp Set
With the Skate boards I thought they was crying out to be embossed, so I have used some bright yellow embossing powder on them.
The Sentiment is also from the Jake Skates set (you really do get value for money with these stamp sets) I stamped this using my distress inks.
The backing paper was made by simply stamping using Grunge Polkadot Background stamp and Mowed Lawn Distress ink
I coloured Jake with my Spectrum Noirs…he is Awesome isn’t he.
The border was done using the border stamp (which is double sided so two stamps in one !) I stamped with Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink, and then overstamped with Mowed Lawn Distress ink.
Stamps used:

Have you seen Harley ?? Who’s Harley you may ask…
Meet Harley
How brilliant is he ? And look at all those stamps you get with him…so many possibilities !!!
There is also a brilliant Grunge Harlequin background stamp  To go with Harley.
Don’t forget to head on over to the Visible Image blog to check out the current challenge where you could win £20 !! to spend on some lush new stamps.
And also check out Visible image Facebook Group for all the latest news, and chat to fellow crafters.

Globecraft & Piccolo …He who holds the key

Hiya everyone, its Tuesday so that mean Globecraft & Piccolo time.
Now as Valentines day is creeping up I decided to spread a little bit of love and make a Vintage style Pendant using one of the awesome Acrylic Craft Charms
I am really happy how this turned out. Here is how I made it…
1. I made my own backing paper (It reads he who holds the key to my heart) and crumpled it up and then distressed it and rubber some gold wax around the edges, this was then glued onto the Bezel
2. I then took one of the hearts from Keys to my Heart Piccolo set give it two layers of Ruby Red Slippers Enamel Powder…The below picture shows just how beautiful this Enamel powder is.
3. I also used one of the keys from Keys to my heart Piccolo Set and used Copper Kettle Enamel Powder…I only gave this one rough layer as I wanted it to have an old look to it

4. I then took Instant UV resin and put a fine layer down and placed the heart and key into it, I then left it on my window sil for a few mins to set, i then gave it another coat and again left on window sil to set….I love this product ! A definite must have, I wanted a old look to this whole thing so was very “rough” with how i applied the resin, I also wanted to create a look like you get with Amber and you have items floating and bubbles etc…I was very wary about doing it but I think it has work just how i pictured it would.
This picture shows just how fab the shine is on the resin. I simply then added some vintage ribbon to finish it off.

Now between me and you I have seen there is some new items over on the website so make sure you check them out.
Also don’t forget we have some brilliant inspiration from the rest of the team post regularly so make sure you keep checking back on the Globecraft & Piccolo Blog
Happy Crafting 🙂

Visible image Isabella

Morning all ! I do hope you are all well and not been effected by all the horrible weather.
Well how exciting this is my first post as part of the fab Visible image team !!!
I have quite a few favorite Visible Image Stamps, but Isabella is certainly one of my top stamps, so I decided my first card would be a Isabella card !
I thought she was crying out for a scene card. I coloured her with my Spectrum Noirs and then cut her out.
I created the scene by cutting out the fence and Tree and decided to use my Zig white pen to create a snowy look to them, The sky was created using Distress inks.
I do hope you like what i have created with Isabella
If you haven’t tried Visible image Stamps  then you really need to, they are fantastic quality and stamp perfectly.
There is a challenge currently running over on the Visible Image Blog where you could win £20 to spend at the Visible Image Shop

Happy 2014 !!! Where did last year go ?!?! it certainly flew by didn’t it. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, I was sadly ill all over Christmas & New year, But I had my wonderful hubby & furbabies around me, so that was more than enough for me.
Anyway onto the first That Craft Place Challenge of 2014….The theme is “Charming”
Here is my design team make…
I used my Dylusions, Distress inks & The fab Star Mask from That Craft Place, I wanted to stars to be subtle and have used the mask just on the circle…i couldn’t really get them to show up that well in any photo, which is a shame because it looks great in the flesh
The Stamps are Tim Holtz and the charm is from my stash.

My favorite makes of 2013

Well it certainly has been a year !
I wanted to share some of my favorite creations of 2013 with you, this is something i tend to do every year, it is nice to look back at your work i think.
I made this tag for our Halloween challenge at All Dressed Up and just loved how it turned out, he is still one of my favorite images so far.
I had sooo much fun making this tag, i got to use all my favorite elements and i was so happy with how it turned out, and it was this that i used as my design team submission for Globecraft & Piccolo which i am now part of the team !

I have always been a fan of LOTV, and everyone knows my love of distress style, this stamp is so cute.

This has to be my most messaged about make ever, this is a pick me up book I made using my Cameo, LOTV stamps & Sheena Douglass Stamps, I wanted to create a “me” project to keep little memories for those days when I need a pick me up….and this was it.
I was over the moon to be a guest designer for Peachy Keen Stamps in August and made this Haunted house for one of my posts.

I couldn’t do this list and not feature one of my cards made using one of the fantastic stamps from Visible Image I have created a few cards using their stamps, but this is still my favorite.
This was a design team make for That Craft Place and was the image is from All Dressed Up i don’t often do pink cards, but was really happy with this one.
This is my most recent make for That Craft Place and was probably one of my most enjoyed projects of the year.
Another design team make for That Craft Place i used one of  fab stamps from Lovely lisa for this, and then just made lots of mess with my dylusions by flicking with a paint brush, this is on the list for the sheer amount of fun i had making it.
This is a recent make for Songbird challenges and the image is Bow from Kenny K, I have always loved this image and was really happy with the card as a whole.

So there is my top ten of 2013, I hope you all have a lovely NYE and Happy New year x
