Halcyon Days

Afternoon my lovelies,
I hope you are all ok ? Been busy week here this week so i am sorry for my lack of visiting.
But it is nearly Saturday, which means it is nearly time for Halcyon Days weekender on Create & Craft !!
I wanted to share another sample I made for the launch.
I made a 7.5 x 7.5 card blank and then took one of the shaped cards and turned it into a topper, the picture topper is from the CD Rom and the backing papers are from the paper pad. I have also used my Die’sire corner die and Embossilious Knit one, Purl one 8×8 Embossing folder for the centre section.
This card shows that card blanks do not have to be used for just that purpose.
The range is being launched at 9am GMT on Saturday on Create and Craft and will then be on at 12pm GMT & 6pm GMT. Sunday’s show times are : 11am, 2pm & 7pm
The range includes :
CD ROM
Papercard kit
Shaped Card Kit
Inserts
Paper Pad.
I will share some more sneeky peeks with you tomorrow 🙂

Key charms

Morning lovelies, Today i wanted to share a little charm with you that I made
I have used one of the Royal Key Charms and the two small keys that come with Key to my heart set and embossed them using Copper Kettle & Gilded Rose Gold, I only did a rough layer because i wanted a hammered/aged look to them. I have then used black jump rings to join them together using a 6mm jump ring at the top so it can be secured to whatever you would like to use it on 🙂
This is a simple, but fun project and something i will do more of.

Visible image Chandelier

Morning lovelies….no you haven’t slept until Saturday, the lovely Sue is moving house so I have swapped days with her 🙂
I have been playing with one of my favorite sets from Visible image, the beautiful Chandelier set I think this is such an elegant set.
Here is my card for this week…
I simply stamped and embossed the Chandelier onto a die cut circle , added a die cut border and a bow and pearl and i was done…this is what i love about this stamp, you don’t need to go all out with it to create a beautiful card.
Don’t forget the current challenge is Anything Goes and you can win £20 to spend on these fab stamps.

Glboecraft & Piccolo

Morning lovelies, Globecraft & Piccolo day from me.
I have been playing with Cameo Girl Charms and microbeads.
I removed the middle section of the cameo and cut some Blue Core’dinations card to fit to the back of the cameo.
I then embossed the frame using Aged White Enamel powder, i used 2 layers. I then adhered the card to the back of the frame using a nice strong glue.
I glued some Microbeads in the head area and once dry and went over it with Glastique
And here is the finished result.
This shows the texture of the beads and enamel really well, and i love the effect it gives.
Happy crafting 🙂 x

Spectrum Noir Pencils

Morning lovelies,
I hope you are all having a nice weekend ?
Now unless you have been living under a rock you would have heard about the fantastic new Spectrum Noir Pencils…these pencils are totally amazing. They are a wax pencils and blend like a dream, they worked perfectly alongside your markers, but are perfect to use as a standalone medium.
They can be purchased from Crafter’s Companion or most crafting retailers will be stocking them. There is also a new Spectrum Noir DVD which i highly recommend.
I wanted to share with you one of my recent cards that I did which used just the pencils.
The image I have used is one of the exclusive Digital images from Sharon Callis that is on the first Spectrum Noir DVD. Now there is 3 blending methods with the pencils:
You can use Blending Fluid and Paper Stumps
Blending Pencil
Or you can blend with just the pencils in a similar way that you do with your markers.
I have used the last method for this card  and i am really happy with how it turned out.
I had planned a CAS card for this with no distressing or frantage…but as you can see that did not happen !
I hope you like what I have created with them, check back next week when i will be sharing some more pencil colouring with you

Visible Image Teamies Choice

Morning lovelies, weekend is here already !
This week at Visible image we have done things slightly different and one of our other teamies got to pick what stamps and colours we had to create something from.
The lovely Amber picked for me and I got Men’s Collage & Grunge Polka Dot, colours i had were orange and kraft…and here is what i made…
I went for a distressed tag, I stamped them using Vintage Photo Distress ink and then used some Copper Embossing powder over Men’s Collage I am really happy with how it turned out and think it has been so much fun seeing all the teams choices.
Don’t forget the current challenge is Anything Goes and you can win £20 to spend on these fab stamps.
