Visible image Once upon a time …

Morning lovelies,
It is Saturday which means Visible image day for me.
Now last week you may remember that I made the Sun catcher, now because the centre of the hearts was cut away this left me with some smaller, whole heart shapes….So i decided to use them for this weeks project.
One of my favorite Visible Image stamps is the beautiful Once Upon a time so i had to use that, and here is what I have created….
I wanted a nice vintage style hanger. I have also used Bronte Script and stamped it onto Tissue paper and then applied it too the heart using PVA, this gives it a very subtle look and makes a nice base.
The castle and sentiment were stamped using pigment ink and then clear embossed, I wasn’t very precise with my stamping because i wanted a “rough” look…i hope that makes sense, i spent ages thinking how to put it !
I distress inked the edges and then rubbed over it with some Gilding wax and sprinkled some bronze UTEE to give some texture.
This picture shows the sheen of the gilding wax, and i think it shows just how beautiful the castle is.
I hope you like what i created, i certainly had fun creating it.
Don’t forget our current challenge is Tags, and you can win £20 to spend on Visible Image stamps.
Also if you are not already a member make sure you check out the Facebook Group, lots of crafty chatter.
Items used:

Greyboard heart
Twine
Distress ink Vintage Photo
Bronze Pigment ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Bronze UTEE
Gold Gilding Wax
Tissue paper

Barkley & Purrdey Four Day deal From Crafters Companion

Morning my lovelies, Hope you are all having lots of crafty time.
Well today is the last day of the super cute 4 day deal that Crafter Companion have brought to you on Create and Craft & I wanted to share with you a couple more of the samples I made for the show.
This card shows that you can create a lovely card in a matter of minutes.
All I did here was create a A5 card using Centura pearl and trimming a strip off the front part of the card, I then mat and layered the card that comes with the kit, and using one of the borders I stuck this along the edge of the inside of the card.
I then Decoupaged Barkley, added some flowers and a sentiment and he was done.
This is a tag card that I made using the kit & the fab bunting embossing folder, again such a simple card to make, and instead of a tag you could put a gift card or even money.

Don’t forget to grab your Four Day deal before it goes up in price after midnight GMT tonight
Happy crafting

Hair Barrette

Morning everyone .
I just wanted to show you how versatile the Enamel Powders can be.
I had a couple of Hair Barrette Slides and using Bahama Aqua powder & 3 of the smallest flowers from Stacey’s Stacking flowers I made my very own custom Hair Barrette
I love how it turned out ! I finished it off with a layer of Instant UV resin to give it some extra protection, but just image how you could use the other Enamel Powders & Piccolos to create some fantastic accessories !

Visible Image April Challenge…Tags :)

Morning Lovelies…I hope you are all well ??
Well it is new challenge time already (where did March go !!!) at Visible Image  and the theme is Tags…I love this theme because you can be very creative with Tags i think. One lucky person will receive £20 to spend on Visible image stamps !
Here is my Design team tag….

I got so inky making this and LOVED it !
I have used the super fab Time after Time Stamp Set & the very beautiful Dragonfly Stamp
There was no real method to this, i will be honest I coloured the tag using my Dylusions and then coloured some sheets of pretty paper in the same way. I then randomally stamped using different stamps from the Time after Time Stamp Set (you get soooo many different stamps in this set) and ripped them up and stuck them down using Collall Tacky Glue.
I then stamped the Dragonfly & One of the clocks over the top and Embossed using G&P Copper Kettle Embossing Powder, I also sprinkled some  Starry Sky embossing powder  randomally over the top. I then  added the sentiment with the brads and used Vintage Photo Distress ink and went around the edges to grunge it all up a bit.
I hope you like the tag…Anyone who has not played around tags I highly encourage you too, they don’t have to be grungey, check out the rest of the design team samples on the Visible Image blog
Don’t forget to also check out Facebook Group to see all the latest Visible image news, chat to fellow crafters and also see others crafters fantastic makes.

Crafters Companion 4 day Deal

Morning lovelies
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and for the uk mothers I hope you all had a lovely Mothers day.
The lovely Dawn Wheeler launched the super cute Barkley Four day deal on Create and Craft this morning, so I wanted to share with you some more of my samples that I made.
I created a Gate Fold card with a slight twist for this sample, I have used a topper from the kit, one of the inserts & some Kraft card…I think this one is my favorite image because my pups both used to carry my slippers round.

I loved making this card because it is my favorite colour 🙂
I have used one sheet of the coordinating card, one of the toppers, a sentiment and then just added some Ribbon, Pearl Swirls, Core’dinations G45 card stock and some brads…such a beautiful image this one.
Here is the show times for the four day deal
Make sure you tune in to see Dawn do some fab demos, show you the rest of the fab Barkley range & also check out the amazing samples from the team.

Visible Image Window hanger

Morning everyone 🙂 I hope you are well ?
Firstly sorry for my lack of visiting, I have been very busy and to add to it I have been poorly…but on the mend now and here I am today with a Window Hanger using some of the fab Visible Image Stamps
This is what I created…This picture doesn’t show how bright the colours are really.
So how did I create it ? Well firstly i started by cutting 2 hearts with the centre removed, I used Greyboard to do this but any think card is ok.
I then took my black Spectrum Noir and coloured the hearts, make sure you go around all the edges.
You then need to take some Acetate and pick a selection of Spectrum Noir pens…it can be any Alcohol marker, but it has to be alcohol, the colours I used are listed at the bottom…Random ally colour your acetate, i wanted the effect of grass, sky, sun with mine , but you can do anything.
Now take your blender refil and drop a drop onto a paintbrush and flick, now the trick to this is too build up the effect, but have fun with it.
This was after a few mins and was the effect I wanted, set it aside to dry fully for 10 mins.
I then took the flower from More Than Words Thank you set & Butterfly stamp and stamped on the reverse (take that into account when stamping, you can stamp on the same side but the stamp won’t be crisp), make sure you use Stazon ink for this, I then stamped the butterfly image onto some Acetate and cut it out and put to one side.
Now using a good strong glue (I use Collall all purpose) you need to glue your heart frame on either side of your acetate and leave to dry.
Once dry you want to punch a hole to hang it by and then seal the card, I have used Globecraft & Piccolo Glastique Finishing Glaze, but Glossy Accents or even UTEE would work.
Once dry take your Butterfly and bend up the wings and fix over the stamped butterfly so that you have a 3D effect.

I then added a layer of Spray & Sparkle to give it a extra layer of protection and also some sparkle.
And there you have it, a fun technique which will be totally unique each and everytime.
Items used-
Spectrum Noirs-
Blender Refill, TB3,TB5,BT9,JG3,LV3, Black
Greyboard & Acetate
Crop a dile
Spray & Sparkle.

Barkley 4 day deal sneeky peek…

Morning lovelies,
I am sorry for being so quiet over the last week…I do have a a good excuse though !
For those that haven’t seen on Facebook I have recently Joined the amazing Crafters Companion design team.
Starting on Monday 31st March 8am GMT the Lovely Dawn Wheeler will be showcasing the AMAZING Barkley Four Day Deal.
I have been working with the paperkit and it is a lovely Kit.
The Range will include –
A4 paper pad
6×6 paper pad
Epoxy Stickers
A4 Decoupage
A4 Die cuts
6×6 Acrylic Stamp set
2 5×7 Embossing folders
And there will also be 3 Hunkydory Paperkits (these are what I have been playing with and are brilliant)
This was made using one of the concept cards in the kits, so simple and yet so beautiful.
All I have added is some flowers, Ribbon & a button…brilliant if you want a nice quick, yet different card….and how cute is it ?
I made something slightly different here and using Greyboard I cut out a heart, I embossed some Coordinations using the beautiful Decorative Heart Embossing Folder  and using my cropadile I punch a hole for hanging. The heart topper had a scalloped edge but I cut that off and then distress the edges using some Distress ink.
I added some pink net behind it and  then mounted it onto the hanging and added some flowers, hatpins & Ribbon….this shows these kits aren’t just for cards, this would make such a pretty gift for someone.
To check out more of the Barkley Range head on over to the Crafters Companion Site , all of the four day deal would be perfect for anyone to add to their excising Barkley products.
Keep checking back and I will share more sneek peeks before Monday 🙂

Globecraft & Piccolo Butterfly card

Morning everyone .
I have a card to show you this week that I have created using Mermaid Tears Embossing Enamel and the lovely Fanciful-Butterflies stamp set from Sweet Stamps.

To change the colour slightly I used a bright pink pigment ink as a base, I was surprised at how much this changed the colour of the powder, especially on the butterflies.
The powders worked perfectly with this stamps, which is brilliant because they have some fine detailing.
I hope I have inspired you to have a play with your Enamel powders.
Happy Crafting 🙂
