Morning lovelies, I hope you are all well ??
I have seen lots of posts popping up about people’s projects that they have created in 2014, and in general what kinda year 2014 has been, I have been thinking about it for a few days and coming back and adding things to this post, taking things away and then this morning i finally hit publish.
2014 for me has been a very hard year, but also a very good year, I feel that I have learnt a lot this year, both personally and in crafting.
Crafting wise I think it finally dawned on me how much the crafting world has changed over the years, and I have come very close a few times to shutting my craft room door and saying goodbye.
I have been on some amazing design teams this year, I have also said goodbye to some design teams…and sadly some friends. But I have gained some truly amazing friends, and feel extremely lucky to be/have been on some of the Design Teams.
I think creativity wise I have drifted a lot this year between mixed media and colouring, I have also started to upcycle a lot more and finally got myself a sewing machine…it is only a very small one but after my mother scaring me off sewing years ago it is a start.
Personal life wise this has probably been the worst year for me health wise, i think after lots of denial I have finally realised that my health problems do, and will continue to affect my everyday life…honestly it was a very hard thing to come to terms with..BUT it could always be a lot worse and at least I wake up everyday, that is something that not everyone is blessed with and my moto for 2015 is certainly take it one day at a time 🙂
This year we was also hit with the news that my partners Grandad had leukemia…I cannot even begin to explain to you what this did to my partner, especially when both Grandad and Nan were put into care homes, and then in October he sadly passed away….I cannot put into words what an amazing Man he was and how close him and my partner were and honestly i think part of my partner died with Grandad. I class myself so very very lucky to have known him and i don’t think i realised what an impact he had on not only my partner but also me, he really did have an amazing heart.
Those who know me closely will know my beliefs and one of them is that we never truly die, our physical body does, but our energys still remain…i know some people think that is crazy, but for me is it what I feel, so i know Grandad is still around, but I think we will be going into 2015 still feeling the hole he has left.
Gosh this has turned into a bit of a dark post hasn’t it ?? Sorry about that !!
The HUGE plus of 2014 has been my amazing friends, I can honestly say without them and my amazing partner I wouldn’t have got through 2014….so THANK YOU, I am extremely blessed to know you all, and cannot wait to see what 2015 has in store for all of us 🙂
I am also working on some great stuff for early 2015 that I know you will love…so keep your eyes peeled 🙂

I looked back across my blog for 2014 and picked some of my favorite projects…I hope you like them
This card i just love how it came out, and also this blog post  was when i could FINALLY announce I was part of the Spectrum Noir team…I honestly cannot tell you what an amazing team this is, the talent is beyond incredible, and they are all such kind and lovely people.
This card was a quick card but i just love how it turned out ! It was made for Globecraft Piccolo and all the details can be found here
Who doesn’t love Tiddly inks ?? This has got to be one of my favorite images of all time, it always makes me smile, I used this card to enter the Tiddly ink’s DT call, I sadly did not make it, but was picked as one of their top 25 artists which was fantastic.
This card had a lot of love put into it, the Stamp is a Sheena Douglass stamp that as soon as I saw it I wanted to buy it to create a card for Nan and Grandad…I never got round to getting the stamp and then this year i KNEW I had to get it, so i did and It has been sent to nan.
This card was created for Treasured Times Rubber Stamps and the image is designed by Mi Ran and i think is so beautiful, this was one of my full on cards and i was pleased with how it turned out.
So there you go…sorry for the long blog post !!!
I know many of you won’t be around over the Christmas period so I wanted to say Merry Christmas and thank you for always stopping by and leaving that little bit of love on my blog 🙂
Here to an amazing 2015 for everyone, and for now..at least my craft room door will be staying open.

Sheena One Day Wonder

Morning lovelies, hope you are all well. Thank you all for your lovely comments, I am very lucky to have such lovely blogger friends 🙂
I wanted to share with you some more samples I made for Sheena’s One Day Wonder tomorrow on Create and Craft.
This was a total unplanned flick some Aquatints around kinda card and i love it ! I then inked through one of the new stencils (I think this one is my favorite) and added one of the new stamps.

I used the pastel Aquatints for this one and created a wash background, I then stamped one of the new stamps onto some acetate and fixed over the top with some brads, I then mounted it onto some kraft card and added some ribbon to create a hanger.
How great is this guy ? He is one of the new stamps and comes with some great sentiments, I coloured him using Spectrum Noir Pencils and then used some Pebeo drawing gum to mask him and i then created the background using Aquatints…the stencil is the same stencil that i used on my projects that can be found here, the corners are great and i can see them being used lots. I also added some frantage to this just to added some texture.
I am so in love with this stamp ! I used to have a highland cow so it is just perfect and again comes with some great sentiments, I coloured it using Spectrum Noir Pencils and then I run one of the new stencils through my ebosser with some Core’dinations card and then lightly sanded it back.
I know so many people who will love this stamp, it is huge and so much fun to colour !! I coloured it with my Spectrum Noir Pencils and then fussy cut it. The background was created using Aquatints and one of the new stencils. I then 3d mounted the house along with the sentiment, which comes with the house set.
Make sure you check out the shows, also head on over to Sheena’s Facebook page  for info and some of Sheena’s beautiful samples.

Sheena Douglass One Day Wonder

Morning lovelies, I hope you all had a nice weekend ?
The lovely Sheena Douglass will be launching some new fab stencils and stamps this Thursday as a One Day Wonder on Create Craft Tv, I was very lucky and was asked to make some samples for the launch.
What do you think…..
I love this image, and she comes with some fantastic other stamps, I have used mainly Aquatints to create this, the wood was created using one of the new stamp sets and is actually a full tree but I used just the branches to create the wood…can you see the eyes ? how great are they !!

I used sea salt technique with my Aquatints to create the back ground for this, this is one of the new stencils launching, i love the corners and they can be used on so many projects.

This wolf is awesome ! Sheena is also launching a great script stamp set which includes two different font styles, i have used one on the background of this card.

Aquatints again on this card, this time i used Faux bleaching technique along with one of new stencils and stamps.

I loved making this card, I have used my Aquatints again and using gesso and distress ink with one of the new stencils, i then used one of the new stamps and stamped onto acetate, i then created a bow front with the acetate.
I hope you like all the samples, Sheena will also be showing Aquatints, gilding waxes and mixed media kits.
The shows are on Create and Craft on Thursday 11th December at the following times:
8am GMT
11am GMT
2pm GMT
4pm GMT
7pm GMT
Make sure you check the shows out, I will be back with some more samples later this week.
Happy Crafting

Good morning lovelies, it a crisp December morning here on the lovely fens, and it is beautiful. I often forget how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful area, my hip has been giving me some problems this week, but I don’t mind because the huge plus is it means I am up really early, we have french doors in our kitchen and a beautiful view the sunrise each morning, it always makes me smile 🙂
Anyone on to some samples I have made for some fab embossing folders by Darice, It will be on your screens on Monday 8th Decemeber on Create and Craft, there is some brilliant versatile folders on the show so make sure you catch it if you can. If you can’t catch the show then head on over to Crafter’s Companion Website to see the full range
I used the Chevron folder for this card and went with a mono theme, after embossing I rubbed my Staz on ink pad over the top and then using a silver pen i coloured in the debossed sections, I then added some seam binding, nice quick card for both male and female.
I used the Circles folder for this card and went for something different, I die cut some circles and then embossed them using the folder, i then used gilding wax and gold pen (my gilding wax run out half way through!) to highlight the embossed detail, i then added some twine, a sentiment and distressed the card.
This one was using the chevron folder and i embossed 3 different colours of Core’dinations card and then cut out 2 sections from each colour and glued them together on the card, i then sanded over the embossed detail and added a sentiment…really like how this turned out.
Items used:
Seam Binding
Both Sentiment Stamps are from issue 4 and 5 of Crafter’s Companion Crafter’s Inspiration Magazine.
I hope you are all having a nice weekend and managing some crafting.
Happy Crafting

Hello lovelies, I hope you all had a lovely weekend ? The big countdown to Christmas has began !
But I have something non Christmas to show you today. I have been playing with some more of the Lazer cuts from That Craft Place , and also Spectrum Noir Aquatints…what do you think ?
I have to say sorry about my rubbish photos, my good camera broke and until i get a new one i am stuck with my old one, which isn’t the greatest.
I have used the Bright & Beautiful Set of Aquatints and also the gold from the Essentials set. The wooden lock is from That Craft Place and I have Gessoed it and then built up layers of Acrylic paint and Aquatints.
Once I built up the layers I gave a thick layer of Decoart One Step Crackle and I rubbed the Gold Aquatint over the top, you can see here just how bold the orange from this set it.
I LOVE the purple in this set, here I let the pink run into the purple.
Incase you haven’t heard of Aquatints (where have you been ?!?!) they are a professional liquid watercolour, they come in 6 different sets and have so many different uses. they also come with pipettes and brushes…which are brilliant quality, you can find all the info and the set here
Also don’t forget to check out the fantastic range of Lazer Cuts from That Craft Place, there really is something for everyone 🙂
Happy Crafting 🙂

Some Christmas makes…

Hello Lovelies, I hope you are all ok ? I have to say sorry for not being around, I have been feeling really sorry for myself after the fall and the temps have dropped here this week and my fibro is giving me some serious jip,…I really have not been a happy Tracy to be around !
BUT I have dragged myself to the computer today because I wanted to share with you a couple of Christmas makes I have made using some lazer cuts from That Craft Place, the lovely Lisa send me some goodies to play with a little while ago, but with the move I didn’t get round to even unpacking them. Now I have to say the quality of these are AMAZING, Lisa cuts them in either greyboard or wood, and some even in fabric ! And she does cuts for everyone (you HAVE to check out the clock kits she does). With Christmas just around the corner….it snuck up didn’t it ! …I wanted to have a play with some of the Christmas bits Lisa sent me, and the great thing is I can paint left handed Hooray !
Anyway here is some of the things I have made…
How cute are these mittens ?? I used some paper from my stash to cover the main part of the mitten and then used Gesso for the “fur”, the ribbon i painted using Pebeo Acrylic paint and then I used my Distress inks to pick up the texture, i then decided to give them a quick spray of Crafter’s companion Spray & Sparkle in Gold.

What house isn’t complete without a Christmas pudding at Christmas ? I used Frantage for the frosting on this…I will admit I had everything crossed it would turn out ok. I painted the pudding using Pebeo paint and decided it looked a bit bare and needed something, so out came the sequins, and i finished it off with a double bow.
This is my favorite…I don’t have kids but still had so much fun making this. I wanted to go non traditional colours for this and decided on white and ice blue. The back part I sprayed with Crafter’s Companion Silver Spray and Sparkle. The letters i wanted to give some texture to so I rough painted them with Gesso and Pebeo acrylic paint. The candy cane board on the white sections I used Diamond Sparkles glitter whilst the paint was still wet, I decided to add ribbon to hang this but If you have a batton you could have this outside in the ground or in a pot…just remember to waterproof it first.
All of the lazer cuts can be found at That Craft Place Website or on the fab Facebook group . Lisa also sells all other craft goodies, so make sure you check it out.
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who commented, emailed and messaged me about my fall, you are all amazing and I am very blessed to have such fab friends. I am healing ok and hopefully will be back to colouring soon…I am getting serious withdrawal from it !!
Take care and happy crafting

Spectrum Noir November challenge & some news

Morning lovelies, I hope you all had a lovely weekend ??
For those that aren’t on my FB I had a fall last week and ended up crashing through a cabinet and damaging my hand, which now means no colouring for 6-8 weeks whilst it heals 😦 I can still craft but colouring is one thing i cannot do left handed !! Which sadly means I have had to stand down from Treasured Times rubber Stamps DT, as my DT role requires me to colour and i am going to be out of colouring action for a while I didn’t think it was right to Jody and the rest of the team to stay on the team, I would like to say a huge thank you to Jody for being so understanding and to the rest of the team for being so lovely xxx
I shall be glad when this year is over !!
Anyway onto todays card 🙂
This months Spectrum Noir Challenge  is Christmas/Winter and you could win £30/$30 of Spectrum Noir Products …who wouldn’t want to win ?
I have used one of the lovely Sheena’s stamps for my card and stamped it onto Neenah Desert Storm card….luckily i did this card before the fall because i have been dying to colour this stamp up.
I have used one of the fab Die’sire Ticket dies from the Essentials range to cut out the sentiment, I then distressed the edges, added some distress ink and frantage. It is such a lovely image i didn’t want to do too much too the card to take away from it.
I hope you like it 🙂
you can enter the challenge here and i cannot wait to see your entry.
Happy crafting

Sugar and spice…

Morning lovlies, I hope you are all ok ? I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your lovely messages recently, it has been a tough few months and you have all been fantastic xx
I have been playing with a new range from Crafter’s companion called Sugar and Spice, which includes a CD ROM filled with gorgeous papers, toppers, sentiments, embellishments and tons more and some really beautiful embossing folders, I was also very lucky to get to play with some new Die’sire dies 🙂 All of the range is going to be part of a fab four day deal on Create & Craft next week…here are the times.
Here is some of my samples made for the shows:
This one I made using a topper from the CD and used one of the new embossing folders Ditzy Floral  and two of the new quilling flower dies- Fringed Flower and Itsy Bitsy Bloom.

This is using a topper from the CD Rom, Itsy Bitsy Bloom Quilling dies and Ditzy Floral A4 embossing folder.
I used one of the A4 embossing folders called Delicate Floral for this one and used the deboss side, i then used topper from the CD.
I Love this new die, it is one of the new 3d flower dies and comes with the leaf’s, the embossing folder is called Delicate Floral and the die is called Delicate Flower. I have used some stuff from the CD along with some ribbon and spray and sparkle.
I used the fab Big Score board to make this 6×6 pizza box, the folder is great for kids i thought, and doesn’t need much doing with it, so i just added some glitter.
How pretty is this image ? and i love the colours ! this is a 5×5 card and i used one of the new folders (Daisy Chain)  for the background.
So pleased with how this turned out, it is another 6×6 pizza box and i have used one of the new 6×6 folders called Daisy Chain  and some distress ink and then 3 of the new dies- Delicate Flower, Petal & Itsy Bitsy bloom
This is one of the frame cards on the cd along with the Elegance die, I printed it onto Centura Pearl with a hint of gold, such a fab idea for an alternative card.
I used the Birthday Cupcake folder again here and just added some gems and bunting from the CD
Another frame card…love this image, I have added a 3D bow from the CD along with sentiments. The Fringed flower is also one of the new quilling dies.
This folder is so pretty and i couldn’t photo it right (don’t you just hate that) It is 6×6 love birds folder, I rubbed some Versamark over the area and then used bronze and red Mica powders over the top and then roughly sanded it.
Simple card using one of the Sentiments…this CD has some really beautiful poems and sentiments, along with a paper from the CD, I then used the Elegance die and Ditsy Floral embossing folder.
Last one 🙂 This is a must in my opinion (well they all are lol but i do love this one) it is called Butterfly Love.  I embossed two sheets of Core’dinations and then cut out the bow and two of the butterflies and mounted them using Collall 3D glue.
I hope you like all my samples and manage to catch the shows, you can see the information here
Have a lovely weekend everyone and thank you for stopping by
