My writing process blog tour

Hello my lovelies, i was very lucky to be recently featured on the lovely Sharon Callis’s blog as part of the My Writing process blog tour…Sharon is super talented so please make sure you stop by and show her some love. I wanted to continue the tour and have picked 3 of my lovely friends who all inspire me with their amazing work, Shary Nettleship,Stacey Schofield & Rita Edwards You can find out a little bit about them all at the end of this post.

1. What am I working on?
Believe it or not Christmas crafting. & also some mixed media projects. We are also going to be redecorating soon, so i am trying to get colours together and going to be working on some canvases and upcycling for around the house.

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?

Hmmm not sure on this one, I guess not much. But I know I am very lucky as I have worked with some brilliant crafters and companies. I am on the design team for Crafter’s Companion UK, Visible Image Stamps & I am one of the  Design Team Coordinators for All Dressed Up stamps, all 3 companies have different styles and i love that because my crafting style varies so much from cute to the more darker grunge side and i get to do all the styles i love within the teams I am on.

3. Why do I write what I do?

I tend to stick to just sharing my crafty projects…in fact mainly just my cards, but i always do say i need to start sharing my other projects. I was a very shy blogger until recently. I would like to start doing more product reviews and tutorials.

4. How does my writing process work?

I try to keep my blog posts short, but with as much information as possible, i know what it is like to visit a blog and see a item and wonder who made it, or what it is even called, so i try to at least name what the items i use are, and also provide links when possible.
One thing i would love to improve is my photographs, especially for my work that features hand coloured images.

Now for a little bit about the 3 fellow crafters and bloggers i asked to join in 🙂

Sharon Nettleship

Sharon has been crafting for a very long time now , as a little girl she used to like drawing and colouring
 characters from story books.
As she got older she spent time on knitting, sewing and cross stitch.12 years ago
she went into a tiny craft shop and bought a very basic cardmaking set and it all went on from there.
She now likes cardmaking
using stamps and digi images for her cards and colouring them with copics or spectrum noirs.
She also enjoys making 3D projects and cardmaking with her Silhouette Cameo and more recently
with her Cricut Explore.
Sharon has been on several design teams over the years but recently decided to step down from them and concentrate more onmaking her 3D projects and cards.
She also enjoys Project Life and has completed several albums.
Although Sharon gets lots of time to craft with all four kids at Uni or school she looks forward to
spending time with her husband, kids and dog Milly.
Having recently moved to a new area they all enjoy going on walks to explore the woods and
 countryside in the area.

Stacey Schofield

Stacey is 35 and married with two kids, Anna 13 and Liam 11. She from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, UK. Stacey works full time on a popular bingo website as a chat room moderator which she has done for the last 8 years.
When Stacey is not working she can be found crafting. Stacey started crafting when her mum gave her daughter some cardmaking things and it was coming up to her nieces birthday. Stacey decided to ‘have a go’ and the rest,as they say, is history. That was in July 2011 and in the past 3 years Stacey has met some amazing crafters who she now considers friends. Stacey started off using toppers for her cards then moved onto CD crafting, then stamping and now her main love is digi stamping and colouring with copics.

Rita Edwards

Rita has loved coloring and everything crafty as long as she can remember,Rita used to color for hours with Her grandma… And for years now, she has been a graphic designer.
In 2012, Rita got introduced to Operation Write Home (OWH) cards by her best friend who, at the time, was deployed overseas. So Rita started creating cards. Shortly afterwards, another sweet friend of Ritas introduced her to the fantastic Copic markers and on August 9th, 2013, Rita bought Her very first set of Copic markers, have been coloring ever since.
Rita’s designer life really started to change in November of 2013! She completed and received her Copic Certified Designer certificate. Later in the month, got invited to join her very first design team and, the same exact day, was also invited to become the new colorist for the lovely Scrappers Delight images. Then on her birthday, she joined the wonderful Milk N Coffee Design Team member!
The amazing announcement in February 2014 made Rita’s wildest dreams come true: Rita is so happy to be part of the first ever Elizabeth Craft Designs Design Team!
The very first artist Rita ever noticed and have been admiring ever since is Alyce from Kit and Clowder and guess what? Yes, she invited Rita to her very first Design Team just this March! The Kit and Clowder Online Coloring Community is simply one of the most creative, talented, fun and extremely supportive group Rita has ever been involved in. Any time you’d like to take coloring classes, please remember that her friend Alyce offers the most incredible classes, tutorials, challenges and everything to help you achieve improvement in your coloring technique at Kit and Clowder Online Coloring Community.
Whilst Rita likes many illustrators’ work, there are a handful that I truly love! All Dressed Up Digital Stamps is certainly one of her truly admired favorites and so very happy to be invited to their Design Team, will be working with so many talented ladies! Life is good!
