Sparkle at Christmas

Hello lovelies.
I hope you are all well and that you have had a nice weekend…and for my all my lovelies in USA I hope you have all had a great Thanksgiving.
Today I ams ahring my latest creation for Crafter’s Companion International Inspiration Team.
I challenged myself with this one and decided to use no patterned papers or embossing folders…what do you think…..
I have used Die’sire Mistletoe die and coloured it using the new Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens.
The sentiment and border die are both gifts from the latest Crafter’s Companion Magazine.
I did something a little different with the border die, i cut it out but then reattached it too the piece of card and i really how the effect looked. I added some colour to the bottom of the die using the same Sparkle pen.
I finished off with some twine
This Picture shows the sparkle on these pens, and also how highly pigmented they are. This was cut from Kraft Card and as you can see it covers it really well.
It was so hard not too put some patterned paper behind the lattace area on the die, but i am really glad i didn’t.

I have listed below all items used.
Thank you for stopping by.
Happy Crafting

Morning lovelies. I hope everyone is well, I know a lot of you have snow at the moment so stay warm.
I wanted to share with you a card i made using one of my favorite christmas stamp sets and my Spectrum Noir Aquas, and the new totaly amazing Spectrum Noir sparkle Pens.
How cute is he ? I have to say I have been trying to track the stamp set down here in the uk and had no luck, but my good friend Lis helped me and i now finally own it…so a huge thank you too Lis.
I have coloured the little fella using my Spectrum Noir Aqua pens (colours & links at the bottom of this post). If you haven’t seen or used Spectrum Noir Aqua pens they are waterbased markers that have such vibrancy to them and are so easy to blend.
I have also used the new Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens…which trust me you NEED. They are waterbased with tons of sparkle and come in either packs of 3 or two sets of 12. The 12 sets come in brilliant little hard plastic case which keep them nice and neat aswell as looking great.
They come in lots of lovely colours as well as clear. And being waterbased you can blend them together and also using water.
The background on this card was made by using watercolour cardstock, i then used the AquaMarine Sparkle pen from the Autumn-Winter 12 set, I then brushed over with a number 3 brush dipped in water to blend it out and soften the colour.
This Picture shows the sparkle
I have used the clear sparkle on the little bird house, Snowman and the snowhills. What I also love is that it isn’t “in your face” sparkle, it is just enough 🙂
The “snow” on the birdhouse was done using Stamping up white embossing powder, I used the same embossing powder for the snowflakes(they are from Lawn Fawn Critters in the Snow)  and sentiment.
I really had so much fun making this card and will be making some more in different colours to send to people.
Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting

All that glitters is snow…

Hello lovelies.
It feels like it has been far too long since I was in blog land last…I do hope everyone is well. I will stop by all your blogs today.
I am very happy to be back in crafty land and have missed you all.
I wanted to share with you a card I made for Crafter’s Companion International Inspiration Team.
I have used one of the embossing folders from a range that Crafter’s Companion Launched this year called Nordic Christmas. It has lots of lovely stamps, embossing folders and a great CD ROM packed with papers and projects. The range can be found here and I will link directly too the folder and all other items used at the end of this post.
I have used one of the Die’sire Snowflake dies, and heat embossed it using High Copper Embossing powder from WOW, I also run some Versamark around the edge of the embossed panel and used the same embossing powder to give a bit of texture and shine.
The sentiment stamp is from the Crafter’s Companion Inspiration Magazine issue 5 from last Christmas, and is one of my favorite christmas sentiment stamps, I heat embossed this using WOW Copper powder, this is the same colour as the other powder but is finer so lots better for detailed stamps such as sentiments.
The edges of the vellum I cut using Crafter’s Companion Clevercut paper trimmer, you can cut several different ways with this trimmer, including wavy edge which I have used here.
I then finished off with some sequins and a couple of gem stones.
I have been so un organised this year that this is my first Christmas card !! But this is an easy card to do un bulk so I will do a couple more of these in different colours.
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
