You Inspire me

Morning lovelies, I hope you all had a nice weekend ?
Ours seemed to go far too quickly but we finally ordered the paint for our living room which I am really pleased about.
I wanted to share a quick card I made using some Lawn Fawn Stamps and Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils and Aqua Markers. As always supplies are listed at the bottom of this blog post.
I really wanted to do a watercolour background for this card, when i was creating the background it was a nice sunny day with beautiful blue sky so i think that infulenced me with the background. I also wanted the pencil colouring to be soft and not too much detail…the overall look i was going for was soft i guess the word is.
I am totally addicted to vellum and honestly would use it on every single card and have to really stop myself from doing so !
Here is the card and I hope you like it.
I used some foam tape to pop the middle flower up. I of course used some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle over the top of the flowers to give just a tiny bit of sparkle.
I stamped the sentiment used Versafine onto some vellum and added these 3 little flowers, when they was dry i used some of the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting. I hope you all have an amazing day.
Happy Crafting

It takes time

Hello lovelies. I hope you are well ? Phew i nearly didnt make it on to blog today ! My cat Lily decided that she wanted some Mummy time and she was going to get it by laying on the desk and keyboard so i couldn’t get anything done.
How can I work with Lily being all cute on my desk ?! #cat #lilycat #nocraftingforme #toocute #furbaby
And who could resist her ! I know i never can. Anyway she is now off having a drink so I thought i’d jump on here quickly and blog before she comes back.
I wanted to share a card I made that used a technique from a tutorial on the Spectrum Noir Blog which is Adding depth using a Black Pencil By the Lovely Nicky. The tutorial can be found here
I have slightly mixed it up because I have used it around the edge of my stamped images rather than how Nicky has done on the tutorial.
I love this stamp set (link is at the bottom of this post) and wanted to use my Spectrum Noir Colourblend Pencils but really mix the colours up and make them nice and bright. I also wanted it too look like they was almost falling…hope that makes sense, i know it does in my head but that means nothing haha.
The sentiment is from a different stamp set along with the small flowers, but both worked so perfectly with this stamp for this card.
I really wanted it too be a flat card so it was easy to mail and also that the flowers were the main thing on the card.
I CANNOT resist these Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens, i am telling you I get Sparkle withdrawal if I don’t use them ! But here i only wanted a very small amount of sparkle so I just lightly brushed over using the clear sparkle. On this picture you can also see where I have used the Black pencils and blended it out to give some depth to the card.
I wasn’t going to mount the card but decided it needed something, black looked too much so i settled for Kraft card.
I really enjoyed this, it isn’t a WOW card but i find sometimes the simple ones are more fun.
I hope you like the card, dont forget to check out Nicky’s Tutorial
Have a great day.

Thanks with Spectrum Noir & Simon Says Stamp

Morning lovelies, I hope you are all well ?
Brrr it is chilly here on the Fens, but we have no Snow !!! I have been waiting and hoping for snow and we have none ! I think most other places in the UK have had snow but none here…incase you hadn’t guessed I love snow.
Anyway onto todays card. I have created a quick tutorial over on the Spectrum Noir blog on how to make this card.
I went for bright summerish colours…well just because 🙂 I used Spectrum Noir Aqua pens for this along with the fantastic Thanks sentiment die from Simon Says Stamp
This is the sort of card you could easily make in bulk to send, or why not do what I have done and make card sets to give to people.
If you want all the details on how I did the card then head over over to Spectrum Noir blog and check the tutorial out….I promise that I will be doing a lot more video tutorials in 2016, how my craft room is at the moment it isn’t possible for me to do them, but I am waiting on my new furniture (and tripod) so that I can get cracking with them 🙂
Supplies are listed below.
I hope you all have a great day

Paper Smooches You’re a Good Egg

Hello lovelies. I hope you are all well ?
I wanted to share a card I made today using the super cute stamp set from Paper Smooches called Wake Up I am a huge Paper Smooches fan, and this is possibly one of my favorite sets.
I wanted to do a card that looked like pictures hanging on a wall….what do you think ?
How adorable is that little cockeral ? he made me smile so much colouring him.
The set comes with a couple of faces that you can add to the elements, I went for a simple smiley for Mr. Egg there. They was coloured with my Spectrum Noir Markers.
I wasn’t going to add any embellishments to this card, but ended up adding some twine and enamel dots.
On Mr. Eggs “face” and Cockerals beak I added some Glossy Accents.
I used some Stampin Up White Embossing Powder for the sentiment.
I hope you like the card 🙂 I am entering this in the current challenge over at Paper Smooches Blog , the theme is 4 Colours- I have used Yellow, Red, Brown & Orange.

Spectrum Noir Challenge – Anything Goes

Hello lovelies. I hope you are well and all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.
I am just getting back into the swing of things, so i am sorry for the lack of blog posts and visiting.
I wanted to share with you my latest card for the January Spectrum Noir Challenge.
The theme is Anything goes, you just have to use a Spectrum Noir Medium.
The prize is £30/$30 of Spectrum Noir Goodies.
To enter just click the banner below.
For my DT project I have used the new Colourblend Pencils and the no line technique.
The pencils are a rebrand of the previous Colourblend Pencils and come in 5 sets of 24 and are amazing !
This is such a fun technique, especially with pencils. The stamp is by Sheena (linked below) and I masked off the centre area and stamped around it.
You cannot see it much in this picture but using a gold Zig pen I drew a line along the edge of the centre area, it just shows through the vellum and looks very subtle.
The sentiment die was cut out of Centura Pearl (the card base was also made out of the same card).
I then finished off with my trusted sequins.
I hope you like the card, it was so much fun to do.
the Die and the Pencils were both new and used for the first time on this card.
Make sure you head on over to the Spectrum Noir Challenge and check out the rest of the teams brilliant projects.
