Who doesn’t like Cupcakes ?

Hello lovelies…I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.
The card I am sharing today is featuring Cupcakes and as the title says who doesn’t like cupcakes ?!
I have used the below stamp set by Avery Elle, this is fun set and i love all the little extras you get with it.
Our 4" x 6" Cupcakes clear photopolymer stamp set is perfect for creating a sweet greeting. The sentiments included in this set are great for birthdays or a sweet hello.
The background of the card was created using the 3 little sprinkles and i inked up each one using different colours and then randomally stamped…it took longer than the colouring but i was so pleased with how it turned out. I also really like that is this a building stamp set and you can build your own cupcakes, which to me has so many possibilities.
I have coloured the cupcake using my Spectrum Noir Markers and I used my Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen on the cupcake wrapper and also on the sentiment.
You can see the sparkle here and i thought it just added that something extra.
The Cupcake I fussy cut and adhered using Foam Tape. The Circle I have used some distress ink to give the blue “glow” to make the image pop slightly.
For the sentiment I heat embossed and then flagged the ends, I then decided to double score and fold to give it some extra dimension, but it does fold fairly flat for posting.
I hope you liked the card, if you don’t own this stamp set I honestly highly recommend it, I am a huge Avery Elle fan anyway but this set just has so many fun little extras that can be used for different things.
The list of supplies are below.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Happy crafting

Notecard set with Lil’inker Designs

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all well ? I haven’t been online much over the last week so i am sorry for not visiting as much as I normally do. The weather has been very cold here, but also so pretty so i have been enjoying lots of family time and in general just relaxing and i can tell you it has been great.
And of course I had to get in some crafting 🙂
One of the companies I love is Lil’inker Designs, they aren’t very easy to get here in the uk and i can tell you I have a HUGE long wish list of there goodies. I highly encourage you too stop by (click on the name above and it will take you straight to the shop) if you haven’t…be warned though you will want to spend lots and lots of £££££.
Anyway I wanted to create a set of note cards to send to a friend and wanted to do them tone on tone.  I reached for a really fab little stamp set from Lil’Inker called Darling Diamonds (link is below in the supply list). It coordinates with a couple of their dies but I wanted to do a card die free….it wasn’t easy I can tell you !
The set comes with 8 little diamond shaped stamps each with a different design on them as you can see below. And how awesome are those sentiments ? I really have a thing for scripty single words.
I decided on a pattern that I was going to do and then decided to do it on a different part of each note card. I went with a mix of colours rather than doing all one colour.
I used Archival ink pads for these as they matched up best with the card stock I wanted to use.
Each note card is 4×5 inches. I used the woodgrain, solid and open diamonds on this one…that woodgrain is awesome.
I tried to mix up the diamonds that I used. When I made the cards the green one above was my favorite but now looking i think i prefer the orange. For this one I made sure I measured the midway point of the card and stamped my middle line just above it. I thought this card would be a good one too send to cheer someone up 🙂

Did you really think I could go without using sequins ? I decided to add sequins to a couple of them just to give them a little bit of sparkle. I think when i make another set I am going to leave them off the purple card.
This card using the little “hi” diamond which i think is just too cute, I am going to make envelopes for these and use that stamp on the back of them.
One of the things i love about this stamp set is you can go girly like this card, or create a masculine card…not many stamp sets allow you to do that. I LOVE the colour of this card.
For some reason the sentiment hasn’t photographed right on this one ! I might do this card again but in dark orange and gold and have a slight Moroccan theme too it.
Here is some pictures of them together. How pretty does the tone on tone look ?

I had so much fun creating this and will be creating some more to send out to some friends. I really look forward to playing around more with this stamp set too. It is one of those sets that as you are using it lots of ideas keep popping up.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the note cards. If you have not tried tone on tone stamping I highly encourage you to, it is fun and so easy and really effective.
I have listed my supplies below.
Have a great day and happy crafting

Sometimes you need to just get inky….

Hello lovelies. Hope you are all well ?
It has been busy busy busy here, my craft room was in desperate need of being decorated and it has been something i kept putting off but we finally did it !
I then had a proper sort out of my craft room, not a crafter’s sort out….you know what i mean the kind when you sort a couple of bits out but leave most of it hidden deep in drawers & boxes. I emptied every single box, drawer & unit and sorted everything…jeez I had some stuff !!
Some of it hadn’t seen the light of day for at least 5 years. It took nearly a week, but it is now all sorted and have to say it looks great, my hubs did an amazing job and worked his butt off and i now have a craft space where i actually know where everything is !
I wanted to share a quick inky card that i made today. I made it following the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch !
I had started off with one idea which was seriously CAS and was going to use an embossing folder, but like the title says sometimes you need to just get inky !
This stencil is seriously old and i found it on the clear out…I don’t even know who it is made by ! I inked though part of the stencil using Versamark and then used clear embossing powder so i could do a resist.
I then used Distress Inks and inked over the whole card, I started with Squeezed Lemonade, then blended Wild Honey to around 3/4 of the card, then i brought in Carved Pumpkin at the top.
The die I cut from Neenah Solar White 4 times and glued them on top of each other to give some dimension.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts and actually says “Just saying hello” but I cut the Hello off and inked up the just saying with Versamark and heat embossed with Hero Arts white Embossing powder.
I used foam adhesive on the back of the card to give it some extra dimension and created a card base using Kraft card. A nice fun card that is great to just send to someone to let them know you are thinking of them.
I hope you all have a great day.
Happy Crafting
I’d like to enter this into the challenge over at CAS(E) this Sketch.

The darkest nights produce the brightest stars…

Hiya lovelies, I hope you are all well and had a nice weekend ? We had a lazy weekend, and Sunday we had a Pj day which was lovely.
I wanted to share my latest card with you.
Now confession time…I am a Mama Elephant hoarder, I hold my hands up I have quite a few of their stamp sets that I have never used, not because i don’t like them…I LOVE them, so much so I don’t want to dirty them..haahaa crazy aren’t I ?
But that being said this year I am making it my mission to use them all, they are lovely stamps and deserve to be used, not just sat and looked at.
The set I used to make this card is a special set to me for a few personal reason’s and I loved using it.
Anyway here it is….
I knew i had to create a watercolour background for this so I used my Spectrum Aqua Pens to create it and then I added some Distress Ink around the edge to darken it up slightly.
I then did the water flick and blotted off with some tissue.
I have stamped this little cutie using Memento Ink in London Fog so it give a kinda no lines look. I then coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers.
I then used a black gel pen to darken her, and her teddies eyes and nose and added some white dots to her hair bow and bag.
I have used an oval die to create the shape she is sitting on, I wanted it too look moonish ? so used some Distress Ink and again flicked some water over it.
I have used some foam tape to give her some dimension.
I really struggled too get a good picture to show the different tones in the background, and this was about best i could get…my hubs ended up having to use his i-phone.
I love this sentiment so much and is such a personal one for me. I heat embossed it and then the final thing I did was using some clear star sequins…I told you I cannot go a card without using sequins of some kind.
I hope you like the card, I have to admit this is one I really loved creating.
Have a great day and happy crafting

Some Newton’s Nook loving. Spectrum Noir February Challenge.

Hello lovelies, how are you all ? I have been totally lazy today and all I have done is printed off some photos and framed them…that really is all I have done and it is 3:30pm here ! But on the plus side I have also been online window craft shopping, which is always fun.
Today I am sharing with you a super cute card featuring the newest release from Newton’s Nook which Is for the February Challenge over at Spectrum Noir.
The theme for this months challenge is Colours of love- Use Red or Pink. It doesn’t have to be a Valentines card, it just has to have either red or pink on it somewhere and use a Spectrum Noir Medium…easy or what !
Now if you haven’t ever seen  Newton’s Nook stamps then where have you been, they made brilliant fun stamps and I was SO lucky to win a set from their latest release.
For my card I have created a background using two of the heart stamps from the set, the bigger hearts I wanted kinda a distressed look so I blotted some of the ink before stamping…not sure if it turned out how i thought it would, but i kinda like it.
I coloured the image….just how adorable is this image ? with my Spectrum Noir Markers and then cut out using a heart die by Die’sire, I then very lightly inked around the edge using Distress Ink in Spun Sugar.
The frame is by Memory Box and I thought went perfectly with this set.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I then finished off with some sequins (hey i just can’t leave the sequins alone) and a couple of tiny gems.
I really had so much fun with this card, I love the stamp set and cannot thank the guys at Newton’s Nook enough for it.
Don’t forget to stop by the Spectrum Noir Challenge (click on the banner below) to check out the rest of design team’s creations and why not enter whilst you are there for the chance to win £30/$30 worth of Spectrum Noir Goodies.
Thank you for stopping by.
