Studio Katia Birthday Blog Hop

I am very honoured to have been asked to take part in a fantastic blog hop for the lovely Studio Katia 1st Birthday !

If you haven’t checked out Studio Katia then trust me you need to ! They do amazing Stamps, Dies and fantastic sequins and embellishments.

Everyone on the hop created shaker cards and for my card I also used the beautiful Together We Bloom stamp set long with a mix of beautiful embellishments (full list and links are at the end of this post).

I stamped the images onto some Simon Says Stamp Fog card….which I have found out is beautiful for using pencils on ! masking some areas off so I could arrange the stamps around the bottom edge. I used Simon Says Barely Beige Ink pad for stamping as I wanted to use no line colouring technique.

I then coloured the images using Faber- Castell Polychromo pencils.

For the sentiment I stamped it twice to give a shadow look, just making sure to heat emboss only one of the layers.

I then created the shaker element using some Stitched circle dies and fun foam, I filled the shaker element with some seed beads and Sparkling Crystals. I then adhered to the card base that I created using the same Fog card and stamped onto it using Simons Dot & hearts background stamp.

I decided the card still needed something so I took the same gold card that I had used on the shaker and adhered two thin strips to the card base, one to the top and one to the bottom. I then finished the card off with Sparkling Crystals.
