Hey lovelies, Welcome to Simon Saturday
The end of 2017 is rapidly approaching and I wanted to share what my favourite Simon Products of 2017 have been and why.
So grab a cuppa and get comfy as we start….items are in no particular order.
All items are listed at the bottom of this post, if an item is out of stock then i encourage you to sign up for stock notification.
Now I know Simon Started releasing these dies last year, but they have continued to release these and I for one love them. I love the fonts and that they can be used on their own on a project, or with some stamps/other dies. I have slowly been collecting them and they have fast become one of the most used range of dies in my collection. I also love the size.
Here is some of my projects featuring word dies.
This stamp set is a set I haven’t seen receive a lot of love and I have no idea why as it really is a fun set and is that something a little bit different. It was part of the new beginnings release which was an AMAZING release so I think it may have been overlooked for that reason.
I love the build ability of the set and also the flexibility. If you are looking for a different floral type stamp set then you should check this set out.
There is no denying that Simon has knocked it out of the park this year with their stencils, I used to love working with stencils but have neglected them for a few years but Simon has changed that and I hope they continue to wow us with their stencil designs.
I have been VERY impressed with the sturdiness of the stencils, especially considering how detailed and delicate some of them are, mine have been used a lot and show no signs of wear or tear.
I decided to mention the Cherished release as a whole because it was, for me at least the best release of the year it had a fantastic mix of dies, stamps & stencils and so many items from this release have quickly become my all time favourite Simon products.
I especially love their Wonky Stitch dies and Twisted Stitch Borders dies.
As much as I love Halloween I am very fussy with Halloween themed stamp set but as soon as I received this set I loved it.
It is just something slightly different to other sets and i love the different styles of hats within the set.
Yep another great release from Simon. I loved the mix again on this and some of holiday sets are just brilliant and my wish list is pretty much the whole of this release.
I do have the FA LA LA stamps and dies and love them. I also love that Simon did a few different sequin mixes for this release.
Simon now has an extensive range of their own ink pads and have released more colours this year.
If you haven’t tried their ink pads I highly encourage you, I don’t have many but I am slowly building my collection and have never been disappointed they give great colour and Id be lost without their Intense Black Ink which can be used with Alcohol markers, Pencils & Watercolours.
I LOVE that so many people liked the Ink swiping projects I created with Simon’s Ink cubes.
Simon has not only had their usual monthly card kits this year but also they have released some amazing limited edition kits.
I had to mention their kits as this year they have released a fantastic mix of kits, I know this has meant that some people won’t like every single month but the fact they have tried to cater to wider range of tastes has been great and it has also been great to create with things I wouldn’t normally purchase or work with.
For those who don’t know about Simon’s Kits you can subscribe to the kits and save $5 per month and as long as you are subscribed you will get the kit each month (their kits sell out FAST) or you can buy month by month, or whenever you want and each kit costs $29.99 plus shipping. Simon tend to release sneak peeks on social media so you can normally get an idea if you would like that kit or not.
As with every year this years STAMPtember was another great one with a huge mix of stamp sets and fantastic collaborations with other companies. I loved all the collaborations but won’t share them as they are all sold out and as always with STAMPtember collaboration sets once they sell out thats it.
One stamp set that came out during STAMPtmeber was Simon’s Together stamp set. this is a sentiment based set and is beautiful and has a nice mix of sentiments and fonts. A great “stable” set to add to your stamping arsenal.
A stable of any card makers inventory is the envelope, yet I have struggled to find nice good quality A2 envelopes and then Simon started to release their envelopes and I love them.
They come in some fantastic colours (I highly recommend their metallic ones) and are lovely quality and a good price too.
So there you are my favourite list (so far ) of Simon’s 2017 products. This list is of course my own opinion and Id love to hear what your favourite Simon Product of 2017 has been so far.
