Hey lovelies I hope you are all having a great week ?
It is Wednesday which means…..
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
This week the challenge is
Animal Magic
We are showcasing Gina K Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
As always the lovely Heidi and team Simon will be giving away a $50 Voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store !
Before moving on to what I created for the challenge this week I am very happy that I shall be staying on the Simon Says Stamp Design Team, I truly love being on the team and I am so excited to have some new design team sisters. Make sure you stop by the Simon Blog where the team has been announced and leave the amazingly talented ladies some love.
Now this weeks card was a nightmare because my cat decided to EAT the first attempt !!
However luckily I decided when redoing it that I wanted to do something more clean and simple so it worked out for the best in the end 🙂
I used the butterflies from Gina’s Heartfelt Hydrangea set and stamped them onto some Strathmore Grey Toned paper using Simon’s Black ink.
I haven’t used my Prismacolor pencils for a while so I decided to colour with them today and wanted a colour theme going from light colour to a darker colour…somehow that ended up being Yellow, Orange & red.
I added some shading around the butterflies to add a bit of dimension as I knew this was going to be a flat card. I then heat embossed the beautiful sentiment and used Simons Wonky rectangle die cut to cut the piece out.
For the card base I used Simon’s Ivory cardstock and the card was done.
So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting
Do you use Instagram ? If so please add #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too !

Swooning over your lovely butterflies, fluttering off the page (or so it appears…talk about impressive colouring to create that effect!). The sentiment is heart-warming; a friend receiving this card would feel mighty special, indeed! I’ve joined the challenge, too…with a host of Fingerprint Doodle critters. They’re such fun (although the DT task of designing a one-layer card had my nerves jangled. I’m not skilled with one-layer…plus, I love my die cut panels way toooo much *grin*).
Hope you’re having a wonderful Thursday!

Wow, I would have sworn those were popped up too!! What a gorgeous card. I love the Strathmore grey toned paper. I can’t get over how beautiful those butterflies are!! Very clever shading to make a one layer card look dimensional. I’ll have to remember that one.

Such a beautiful card Tracy! I am such a huge fan of your work and I am so honored to be on the same team as you. The butterflies are so pretty! The coloring is just perfect! Bright like they are meant to be. The placement and the use of kraft cardstock as a base is indeed a neat thought! A perfect card with a perfect sentiment, all in all.
