Spectrum Noir May Challenge- Flowers

Hiya lovelies, I hope you have all been having a good week ?
I haven’t done much crafting this week, but been doing lots of house stuff, which has been lovely. But i do have tons of crafty projects planned so i cannot wait to get back into my craft room today.
But before I do it is new challenge time over at Spectrum Noir, the theme this month is Flowers, perfect theme for this time of year.
Here is my design team card for the challenge.
I have used Stamps from Lawn Fawn (supplies are listed below) And coloured using my Spectrum Noir Markers & Sparkle Pens.

For the background I used Wood grain stamp from Lawn Fawn and stamped it with Hero Arts Wet Cement Shadow Ink, it is quite a narrow stamp so using my Misti I lined it up and stamped it cross the card.
The stamp set for the flowers is called Blissful Botanicals and has co-ordinating dies which once I coloured a selection of the flowers and leafs I die cut them all out and arranged them on the card, my original plan was to only have them in one corner, but the top corner look a bit bare so i added some there too. I used some foam tape to give them some dimension and added some clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle to some of the flowers.
The pink paper is from My Minds eye and I looked and looked for the pad online but cannot find it so i am guessing it is no longer available.
I tried a few different sentiments but decided a simple Happy Birthday one was best….especially as this was sent to my Great Aunt for her birthday…The happy die is from MFT and comes as a trio and is a really handy set to have.
I then stamped the birthday using Versafine Onyx Black.
And of course I had to add some sequins !!
The card base was created using some Kraft card to match the Happy die.
So there we have it, a nice flowery birthday card.

I used Spectrum Noir Aqua pens for my card, I get asked a lot on how I use these and do plan on doing a video in the new year. The main i use them is scribble onto my watercolour pallet and use just like watercolours, but my advice is too play around and find what works for you. I use to do watercolouring before I started crafting so the way i use them works best for me, but I know some people who get on better with using them pen direct to paper…play around and have fun 🙂
Anyway on to my card….
I have used a stamp set from Sheena (link below) and the tree branches I drew on myself using a brush and my Aqua’s. I then stamped onto some vellum with Versamark and Heat Embossed using WOW embossing powder, i cut the bottom edge of the vellum user my Crafter’s Companion trimmer on the wave setting. I then added just a couple of sequins and gems to finish.
I then mat and layered onto some black cardstock and added it too a 5.5×4.5 card base, it looks wonky in this pic but i promise that was just camera angle 🙂
Make sure you head on over to check the challenge out and see what my fellow teamies have been creating.
Thank you for stopping by

Crafter’s Companion August Challenge

Morning me lovelies.
It is new challenge time at Crafter’s Companion and the theme this month is School…this can be anything school related and you could win £30 voucher to spend on lots of goodies ! Just remember you need to use at least one Crafter’s Companion product.
Now not having kids i will admin this theme really did test me…especially when seeing what the other dt girls have created !
When i think of school i always think of blackboard…mainly because I was one of those strange children who liked writing and cleaning the board…I was (and some would probably say I still am) a strange child.
So i decided to create a blackboard style card.
The papers were the May download of the month from Crafter’s Companion and are really fab paper’s.
I created the card blank using Crafter’s Companion Kraft Card …this really is the best Kraft card I have tried….and i have tried ALOT, it is nice and heavyweight so it is perfect for card blanks.
The blue card is from Core’dinations Brights pad  and the black card which I used for the blackboard is Crafter’s Companion Matt Black Card
I used my Zig white pen to doodle on the black card, and the chalk is a toothpick cut down and coloured white.
I was quite pleased with how it turned out and I hope you all like it 🙂
