Clearly Besotted Just Hatched…

Hiya ! I hope you are all well and had a nice weekend ? Happy Spring !!
Sorry for not being about much over the last week.
I wanted to share a card today that I created using one of the new releases from Clearly Besotted Stamps and also the new Aquablend pencils from Spectrum Noir.
For those who haven’t heard of Clearly Besotted then I highly recommend them, Stephanie and the team are amazing and the stamps always stamp perfectly and range from seriously cute to some beautiful florals, and they also have matching dies for a lot of their sets. You can buy directly from Clearly Besotted on the link above, and I know in USA Simon Says Stamp and Ellen Hudson both sell them.
The Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils….Oh my !!! Now yes i am on the Spectrum Noir design team, but i will always be honest and I have to say I am in love with these pencils. My first colouring medium was watercolour so it is something I always have a huge soft spot for and these are perfect, they blend beautifully and come in a range of lovely colours and are really nice and bright too.
I finally have my camcorder and we are in the process of setting up so I can create crafting videos, I promise one of the first ones I will do will be using these pencils.
Anyway onto the card. I have used the seriously cute Hot Stuff stamp set.
How adorable is it ! I love dragons so really couldn’t resist this set.
I have used the little one hatching and the just hatched sentiment.

I have stamped using Versafine onto some Ranger Watercolour card and then I used my number 3 brush to take colour directly from the lead of the pencil.
I am very impressed at how well you can layer colour and create texture with the pencils, the dragon was coloured using a light green blended with some yellow and then i took a darker green and dotted the colour to create some texture and almost look scale like.
I added some very light shading around the little fella.
Around the edge of the finished piece I used two of the Avery Elle Pierced Rectangle dies, the joy of these dies is they don’t cut and just leave the piercing details so i was able to add this double dotted detail without having to worry about it cutting the rectangle out.
I then adheared a sheet from Lawn Fawns new let polka in the meadow paper pad onto a card base which is just slightly larger than A2.
I used some fun foam and adheared that onto the back of the watercoloured card and using some strong glue adheared that onto the card base.
What I love about this card is you could send it as an Easter/Spring card, but also for a new baby card. It is a set I will definitely be using lots of times.
I hope you like the card, thank you for stopping by today.
The supply list is below.
Have a great day and happy crafting

Quick no fuss Birthday card

Hello lovelies…I hope you are all ok and getting ready for the man in the red suit ?
I won’t lie i am the least prepeared I have ever been !
Which leads me on to todays card…Now I have a couple of birthdays around the holiday season and also just after, so today I have made a quick no fuss (and also no colouring for the non colouring crafter’s) birthday card. What is even better is that it has been made using this months free Club Inspire Download from Crafter’s Companion.
All you need to do is click here to either join, or sign in and the downloads are on the Club Inspire main page.
The download comes with several papers and a sheet of sentiments and embellishments.
I used the cupcake and the Happy Day sentiment.
The kraft card I have used the Hessian embossing folder from Crafter’s Companion Inspiration 6 magazine.
I trimmed it down to fit onto a 4×5 card.
The papers I trimmed down to 1″ wide to just under 5″ to fit the Kraft card and overlapped them.
The cupcake I have used Spectrum Noir Clear sparkle pen and then added some sequins.
I then mounted the cupcake and sentiment using 3d foam to give some dimension.
To finish i rounded off the bottom corners and adheared to the card base.
So there you go a nice simple and fun birthday card for any age.
I know a lot of my blogger friends won’t be around now, so i will take this chance to say have a very Merry Christmas, and thank you for all your contiued support.
Happy Crafting and Happy Holidays

New Spectrum Noir Challenge….Clean & Simple.

Morning lovelies, I hope you are all well ?
It is new challenge time over at Spectrum Noir, This months theme is super easy Clean & Simple.
All you need to do is use one of the Spectrru Noir Mediums on your project and then upload it to the challenge which can be found by clicking the image below.
The prize as always is £30/$30 of Spectrum Noir Products.
I used Spectrum Noir Aqua pens for my card, I get asked a lot on how I use these and do plan on doing a video in the new year. The main i use them is scribble onto my watercolour pallet and use just like watercolours, but my advice is too play around and find what works for you. I use to do watercolouring before I started crafting so the way i use them works best for me, but I know some people who get on better with using them pen direct to paper…play around and have fun 🙂
Anyway on to my card….
I have used a stamp set from Sheena (link below) and the tree branches I drew on myself using a brush and my Aqua’s. I then stamped onto some vellum with Versamark and Heat Embossed using WOW embossing powder, i cut the bottom edge of the vellum user my Crafter’s Companion trimmer on the wave setting. I then added just a couple of sequins and gems to finish.
I then mat and layered onto some black cardstock and added it too a 5.5×4.5 card base, it looks wonky in this pic but i promise that was just camera angle 🙂
Make sure you head on over to check the challenge out and see what my fellow teamies have been creating.
Thank you for stopping by
Happy crafting

I love you this much …Paper Smooches.

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all having a nice weekend with lots of crafting.
It is cold and wet here…perfect weather to craft 🙂
I wanted to share a card I made today using the fab Freezy Fellas Stamp Set from Paper Smooches. You may remember I used one of the fab little fellas on another card a couple of weeks ago….click here to check it out.
I wanted to show that with this stamp set you really don’t need to add much, I have used the stamps to create backing paper and just added some dies.
Anyway here it is…..

As always I have coloured him with my Spectrum Noir Markers. The hearts in the background were stamped using Lawn Fawn Cranberry Ink and then I went over them with Red Berry Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen. I also went over the mistletoe, the heart on sentiment and the snowmans Scarf & hat Band.
Here you can see that sparkle….well it isn’t Christmas without some sparkle is it.
I have listed all products used below, just click on the pictures to take you to the stores where you can purchase them.
So as you can see a great card created with just a few products.
Paper Smooches are currently looking for a GDT for January, so I am being brave and throwing my hat in the ring ! Although there is TONS of amazing entries so i don’t eveny Kim and the Team.

Using a die in a different way

Good morning lovelies, I hope you are all well ?
It is a cold and wet morning here so i intend on spending the day crafting and wrapping gifts.
I wanted to share with you 2 cards i made yesterday, I have taken the Die’sire Ivy Die and used it in a slightly different way.
I have coloured the ivy with my Spectrum Noir Sparkles in Holly Leaf and then using some supersticky tape I arranged in a wreath shape tucking in the ends. You do have to be careful and slightly bend the diecut.
I did the two cards ever so slightly different, on one card i used two more die cuts and i have to admit i prefer the “fuller” look. And I also changed the position of the bow

Here is the fuller one, I also added gems & enamel dots as i went, but i tried to hide them so they just peeked out as I wanted them to be subtle.
This one is the one with less die cuts on.
I have used some washi tape behind the sentiment, i did it without at first but it was missing something.
I am loving this sentiment at the moment, it is from the Nordic Christmas range and I have stamped it using Lawn Fawn Inkpad. Using a gel pen I added some faux stitching around the edge.
I LOVE the sparkle the new Spectrum Noir Pens give, and this colour really is perfect for leafs.
So there you go, a slightly different way to use a die. I have used the small ivy die for this as it is a 5×5.5″ card, but if you wanted to go bigger then the larger ivy die would be perfect and you could maybe build the layers up more.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Happy Crafting

All roads lead home…..

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all well ?
Well first of all sorry for my lack of being around, Blogger has not been letting me comment or post since last week! But hopefully it is all sorted out now.
I wanted to share my latest card with you that I created for Crafter’s Companion International Inspiration Team.
I haven’t created a shaker card and forgot how much i love these. It has been YEARS…and I do mean years since I made a shaker so there was a couple of hiccups but I got there in the end.
I have used a stamp & embossing folder from the Nordic Range which i totally love. I have coloured the image using my Spectrum Noir Markers and my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.
What do you think…..
Excuse the glitter I forgot to use my powder tool so ended up with static.
The sequins are a total mix of some that I have had for years and Taylored Expressions, I also added some Microfine Glitter & Microbeads.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the image (linked below) and I stamped it using Versafine and then used some WOW Embossing Powder. I cut the edges using the wave blade on my Crafter’s Companion Clevercut. I was going to go for a different coloured card for the sentiment but the red just worked best and gave it a little pop of colour.
I have lost my white gel pen so for the “snow” I used a fine paintbrush and some white acrylic paint.
I hope you like the card, it really was fun and i will be making more.
I hope you are all having a nice week and to my UK friends I hope you are all staying dry and warm.
Thank you for stopping by.
Happy Crafting

The Microbeads I have I couldn’t find, but I have found some pretty much the same in stock here.

Sparkle at Christmas

Hello lovelies.
I hope you are all well and that you have had a nice weekend…and for my all my lovelies in USA I hope you have all had a great Thanksgiving.
Today I ams ahring my latest creation for Crafter’s Companion International Inspiration Team.
I challenged myself with this one and decided to use no patterned papers or embossing folders…what do you think…..
I have used Die’sire Mistletoe die and coloured it using the new Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens.
The sentiment and border die are both gifts from the latest Crafter’s Companion Magazine.
I did something a little different with the border die, i cut it out but then reattached it too the piece of card and i really how the effect looked. I added some colour to the bottom of the die using the same Sparkle pen.
I finished off with some twine
This Picture shows the sparkle on these pens, and also how highly pigmented they are. This was cut from Kraft Card and as you can see it covers it really well.
It was so hard not too put some patterned paper behind the lattace area on the die, but i am really glad i didn’t.

I have listed below all items used.
Thank you for stopping by.

All that glitters is snow…

Hello lovelies.
It feels like it has been far too long since I was in blog land last…I do hope everyone is well. I will stop by all your blogs today.
I am very happy to be back in crafty land and have missed you all.
I wanted to share with you a card I made for Crafter’s Companion International Inspiration Team.
I have used one of the embossing folders from a range that Crafter’s Companion Launched this year called Nordic Christmas. It has lots of lovely stamps, embossing folders and a great CD ROM packed with papers and projects. The range can be found here and I will link directly too the folder and all other items used at the end of this post.
I have used one of the Die’sire Snowflake dies, and heat embossed it using High Copper Embossing powder from WOW, I also run some Versamark around the edge of the embossed panel and used the same embossing powder to give a bit of texture and shine.
The sentiment stamp is from the Crafter’s Companion Inspiration Magazine issue 5 from last Christmas, and is one of my favorite christmas sentiment stamps, I heat embossed this using WOW Copper powder, this is the same colour as the other powder but is finer so lots better for detailed stamps such as sentiments.
The edges of the vellum I cut using Crafter’s Companion Clevercut paper trimmer, you can cut several different ways with this trimmer, including wavy edge which I have used here.
I then finished off with some sequins and a couple of gem stones.
I have been so un organised this year that this is my first Christmas card !! But this is an easy card to do un bulk so I will do a couple more of these in different colours.
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
Happy Crafting x
