Friend Bokeh

Hey I hope you all had a nice weekend ? Mine was quiet but lovely, we had lots of family time which is always good.

Today I wanted continue sharing cards I made over the Christmas period.
I am a huge fan of Bokeh (if you look at my blog header I have even used Bokeh in that) I love the softness of it and how different it can look.
I had an idea in my head for months to be honest about creating a bokeh style card using Rangers Mini Round blending tools and this is how this card came about.
One of my favorite colors is Grey….You may think boring but I love it, especially with a pop of color added. So to create this I used one of my favorite Grey ink pads- Cobblestone from Simon Says Stamp for the darkest color and all you need to do is ink up your blending tool then making sure it is flat to the card twist it to give you a nice circle.
For the lighter grey I used Simon’s Barely Beige…which yes i know it isn’t a grey but it does have a grey tone to it, I randomly placed the circles all over the card stock…which is Simon’s White card, making sure to overlap the circles.
When I was happy I used my Clarity Stencil brush and went over the whole piece with Cobblestone, with the brushes I always “blot” off a lot of the color and very gently and slowly build the layers up and it worked well for this card as I didn’t want it too dark, I wanted to get rid of the white showing and to soften the circles.
When this was done I took Simons White ink and added a couple of circles over the top…this was a total experiment but i really like how it turned out.
I used Simon’s Painted friend die and cut it 3 times from Simon’s Fog cardstock and adhered them together to give some added dimension and used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen to add some sparkle to the friend die.
For a pop of color I used Mama elephants Confetti Cuts die and Simon’s School house red card stock and die cut the hearts which I added some Sparkle and Glossy accents too.
I created an A2 card base from Fog card and adhered the panel to it.
My plan is too make some more of these using different colors and inks to see how it works out, but I am really happy with it and it is another nice any occasion for a friend card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Don’t forget this weeks challenge for Simon Says Stamp is Anything Goes and you still have a few more days to enter click here to check it out .
I hope you all have a great day.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – New Somethings

Hey lovelies, I hope you are well

I decided to go for a You will be missed card and have used one of my favorite Simon Die & Stamp Sets.
I used the die to emboss the white panel and then using Simons Glimmering cardstock…trust me you need this it is gorgeous !!! I die cut the You die and then adhered it over one of the embossed You’s.
I then heat embossed the Will Be Missed sentiment from the same set using Simons Fine detail Gold Embossing Powder.
I then added some gold dots with a gel pen and some Doodlebug sequins.
Lots of fun creating this and a different way to use your dies.
So now it’s YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Simon Says Stamp – You are loved

Hey lovelies, I hope you are all well ?
A huge thank you for all the comments on my last post & video…You guys rock !
I wanted to share with you a card I made today using a fab stamp set & die from Simon Says Stamp
called You.
Simon Says Stamp YOU Craft Die S146 Preview Image
They are sold separately but as you can see they work perfectly together.
As always I have linked below all products used.
I also wanted to give my new Clarity Stencil Brushes a whirl.
If you haven’t tried these then you HAVE too !! they give AMAZING ink blending which is soft (you can easily build it up) and no marks like the ink blending tools leave sometimes…don’t get me wrong I still love my ink blending tools but these brushes will make things SO much easier, they are slightly expensive but definitively worth it.
Anyway onto the card.
I used the stamp set and arranged it onto my misti to create a background stamp effect onto some Neenah card, and then heat embossed using Simon’s White Fine Detail Embossing powder.
This is another way to get more out of your sentiment sets and can be done in so many different ways.
I then used Clarity Stencil Brushes to swirl over Simon’s Dye Ink in the following colour’s-
Island Blue
Coral Reef
I die cut the panel out using a stitched rectangle die from MFT Blueprints 29 set.
I then used the You die to die cut some Neenah 3 times and then heat embossed one  twice using Fine detail gold embossing powder. I then adhered this on top of the two other dies to give it some dimension.
For the sentiment “are loved” I heat embossed it using the same white detail embossing powder onto some Kraft card and trimmed it to fit against the die cut.
I felt it still needed something, so I die cut a circle of vellum and trimmed the edge and adhered it to the panel with the sentiment die and strip on top.
I used an A2 top folding card base to adhere this all too and finished the whole thing off with a gold heart from Pretty Pink Posh.
This card would be perfect to send to so many different people, and I love how different the inks look when used with the brushes.
I hope I have inspired you to try something slightly different with your sentiment sets.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have an amazing day !
