Festive Card Series #3 Mini Vellum shaker Cards

Hey lovelies, I hope you are all having a great day ?
Today I am sharing the next part of my Festive Card Series 2016.
If you have missed my other parts of the Festive Series you can find them by clicking on the links below:
For today’s post & video I wanted to share some mini vellum shaker cards I created using a die….now this die is super old and was gifted to me, I *believe* it is by MFT, but cannot find it anywhere ! So if anyone can help me out that would be great. I have listed below a VERY similar die that can be used in the same way though 🙂
I have wanted to use vellum on these as I love that it “tones” down the shaker material and I think it works perfectly for Festive cards. They measure at just over 3″ so perfect for sending through the mail, and for creating in bulk.
Here is the video showing how I created them.
I hope you enjoyed the video.

I love how the clear embossing has worked on the snowflakes stamps by Winnie & Walter, and it just gives that little bit of extra something.
This shows not only how fantastic the Hero Arts Ombre Ink looks but also the shaker material, and what I was saying about it toning it down.
I hope you enjoyed the video and seeing how I created the cards, if you wanted to create something even more mail friendly you could create a “flat” shaker using a Fuse Tool or just some super strong tape.
I highly encourage you too play around as shaker cards can be so much fun.
I hope you have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.

Sheena’s new stamps and dies

Morning lovelies, I hope you are all well ? I know a lot of people are poorly at the moment, so sending lots of healing hugs to them.
The lovely Sheena Douglass is back on your screens on Monday at 9am & 4pm GMT on Create & Craft with her gorgeous stamps and matching dies.
I really cannot recommend these enough, they are fantastic quality and so versatile.
Anyway I wanted to share a couple more of my creations  (my original post showing some of my samples can be found here) that I made using them
This one I used my Aquatints to create the background and also colour the apples, I then added some white paint to the letters to make them pop slightly.
I LOVE this branch die and can see it being a firm favorite, I diecut the branch and leaves from Core’dinations cardstock and then sanded back slightly and added some Pebeo Gilding wax. The background is Aquatints and how perfect is this sentiment stamp ?
How cute is this fella ? this shows how detailed Sheena goes with her stamps, I love that you don’t have to colour them to create a really beautiful card.

Loved colouring this stamp, of course I have used my Spectrum Noirs to colour this and i then used the matching die set to create the border…the embossing detail on this dies are perfect.
So there you go, I hope you liked my samples, make sure you check out the shows, or why not head on over to the Crafter’s Companion Facebook Page or Sheena’s Facebook page to check out more gorgeous samples and for more info.

CHA World Launch Sheena Douglass

Hello Lovelies, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas ? Happy New Year !!!
Sorry for my lack of being around, for once I decided to not do anything crafty and to spend as little time online as possible over the festive period, it was lovely spent some nice quality time with my better half and the furbabies 🙂

Anyway onto some exciting news !!!!
The lovely Sheena Douglass is going to be launching some amazing new products at CHA this weekend, and I was extremely lucky to be asked to make some samples.
We all know Sheena always creates amazing stamps…and these are no different, but this time Sheena also has matching dies !!!!!! I cannot tell you how excited I was when I found out and they cut amazing !! These are a MUST in my opinion and what I love is they don’t have to be used with the stamps, which makes them that bit more useful…and value for money !
Here is some of the samples I created for CHA.

This little cutie is one of the stamps that you can also get a matching die for…imagine trying to fussy cut him out !! I have coloured him using my Spectrum Noir Pencils.
The card is created using Distress inks and then stamping the Oak Leafs (also a new stamp) in Versamark and swirling some Mica powder over the top

The tree is another stamp that has a matching die, I have colouring it using Spectrum Noir Pencils.
The Daisy Border is one of the new dies from the launch…how cute is it ? and I love the sentiment (also from the launch)

I think this set my favorite…I know I know I always say that lol… But how pretty is that little bird house
I have coloured this using my Spectrum Noir Pencils, Colours used are- 87,84,97,98,109,111,64.

Something a big different…I had this mirror where the frame broke, so I removed what was left, mounted the Mirror onto Kraft card and then using the Leaf and Acorn Stamps and Dies I created the border, they are coloured using Distress Inks…Sheena nearly never got this as I was tempted to keep it for myself lol

This Frame die is just so beautiful !! and how pretty are the flowers ? Yep they also have a matching die, Love how this turned out and can see me using the flower stamp and die LOTS.

Make sure you tune into the shows on Create and Craft Monday 12th at 3pm GMT to check out all the new products and the amazing samples from the Inkoids.
I will be back and sharing some more samples from the show with you soon.
