Globecraft & Piccolo…adding texture

Morning everyone, Tuesday which means Globecraft & Piccolo day from me.
I wanted to show you today a pendant I have made that is slightly different…
I have used Royal Sterling Embossing Enamel and given 4 thick layers into a Teardrop bezel. Whilst it looked beautiful without me doing anything else i wanted to add some more texture, so whilst the immediately after heating the powder on the last coat I used a script rubber stamp…**PLEASE NOTE** do NOT use any other stamp other than rubber otherwise you risk damaging your stamp…Leave the stamp until the enamel has cooled and then slowly remove….and you then have some beautiful texture.
You can just see a hint of blue here, that is because i used some 3D enamel gel in Turquoise  and “buffed” over the surface with it, because the surface was so textured you find the gel sticks in certain areas…it is a lovely effect. I also rubbed some gilding wax in some areas and then finished off with a nice thick layer of Glastique Finishing Glaze

This picture shows all the different colours, texture and glaze perfectly. This technique can be used with so many different stamps….and it fun too 🙂

Visible image new challenge…Your Favorite Visible Image Stamp

Hiya everyone….this is one of two Visible image posts for me this morning.
It is new challenge time over at Visible Image
The theme is Your Favorite Visible image stamp and one lucky person will receive £20 to spend on fab Visible image stamps
Here is my design team make for the challenge:

I have used Max Rocks Set, I love this set not only because of the fab Max, but also all the extra stamps that come with the set.
I have used the Skulls from the set and created the main backing paper by stamping and then heat embossing with clear embossing powder, I then took the chains stamp and stamped them diagonally, and again heat set with clear embossing powder.
The Sentiment I decided to cut out and then mount on 3D foam to give some dimension.
The lovely Max has been coloured with my Spectrum Noir Pens and Pencils (list below)

Globecraft & Piccolo Canvas

Morning everyone, it is Tuesday which means some Globecraft & Piccolo inspiration from me.
I have been creating with some of the new release this week, and have created a mini canvas.
This was so fun to do. I coloured the canvas using Distress inks and then stamped along the bottom using Tall Grassy Flowers Stamp, i then dabbed adhesive fluid across the grasses and sprinkled a mix of Mermaid Tears Embossing enamel & Aged White across and heat set, I then took two of the new 3D Enamel Gels  and randomly dotted them to give them the look of flowers.
The birds are from the Lil flowers, Leaves, Birds & Bows set and I have given them two coatings of UTEE in White and then rubbed some gold wax over them.
The sun is from one of the new Piccolo Sets, Spring Accents, I did something slightly different with the sun.I cut it so it would fit in the corner  & then used my black Spectrum Noir and Coloured it so it was all black (including the edges), I then gave it a thin layer of 3D Enamel Gel In Daffodil Pearl, whilst it was still wet I sprinkled some Aged White over it and heat set, I then took the 3D Enamel Gel In Daffodil Pearl and put another layer on and waited 5-10 mins before wiping some of the gel away…I really love effect this has given and will certainly be using it more in the future.
I hope you like my mini canvas, don’t forget to check back each day for some wonderful creations from the rest of the fab team.

Globecraft & Piccolo Bubble frame

Morning everyone, it is Tuesday, which means Globecraft & Piccolo day from me
Have you been and checked out the new Spring release ? there is some fantastic items in the release, so if you haven’t checked it out, then what you waiting for !
Onto what I have been creating this week.
I have used one of the fab Bubble Frame kits, the one I have used is the new French Oval Kit, and it is beautiful !
I wanted to go with a vintage/shabby style with it…
What do you think ? I was really happy with how it turned out.
On the actual frame I have painted it with Off white paint, and then used a Crackle glaze, once dry I used Distress stain, which i rubbed all over and then buffed off.
The edges of the frame and French oval I rubbed some gold wax.
Inside the Bubble I have used the new Stacey’s stacking flowers, which are brilliant and so versatile ! I used Aged White Embossing Enamel & Copper Kettle Embossing Enamel on the flowers and trimmed them so they sat around the edge of the frame, I also “lifted” some of the petals to give some dimension to them.
I have also used one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Accents set and one of the flourishes from Medium Flourish Accents set, i embossed these using Bahama Aqua Embossing Enamel
Here is a closer look at the butterfly…
You can also see the crackle and the beautiful frame better in this picture.
I hope you like what I have been creating this week, don’t forget to check back everyday and see what the rest of the team have been creating, and why not head on over to our Facebook page and share what you have been creating too.
Happy crafting.

Mixing Embossing powders.

Hi all,
I wanted to share with you a Pendant that I have made this week.
And here is how i created it…
First of all let me tell you what you will need-
Black UTEE (Ultra thick Embossing Enamel)
Leather Cord
From the Fine Feathers Necklace set you need your pendant, one of the feathers…I later decided to add one of the swirls to.
Using your Black UTEE & Enamel and Embossing powder Adhesive coat the pendant, I gave this 3 coats, but 3 probably would have given a smoother coating…it is personal preference. .if you have never used UTEE before It is slightly different when melting, it will “bead” and looking like you have melted it wrong, don’t worry, it will then melt fully into a lovely thick enamel.
Anyone with a Melt Pot, this Black UTEE would be perfect to use with your Melt Pot.
Now one thing i love with Embossing powders is that you don’t have to stick with just one colour, I LOVE Enamel Powder BAHAMA AQUA, but i wanted to “break” it up slightly for this, so in a small pot I mixed it with Black UTEE , when doing this test your “new” colour on some scrap paper first to make sure you are happy with the result.
Take your feather (and Swirl) and Coat with Enamel and Embossing powder Adhesive
Give it a nice thick coating with your powder mix and melt using your heat tool…again I gave this 2 coats.
I then dabbed some Enamel and Embossing powder Adhesive over where i wanted the feather and swirl to be and put a sprinkle of  Black UTEE and melted it with my heat tool, then using tweezers (its very hot so please use tweezers) I pushed my feather and swirl into the Enamel, then when it sets it will act a glue…you can see her that they are pushed into the enamel.
Attach a cord and you are done.
Here is another look at the finished pendant.

Visible image tag time….

Morning all….it is Saturday which means Visible Image time !
I have created a tag this week….
I decided as it was so dark and gloomy at the moment to go for some nice bright colours.
The background was created using the super versatile
Which I stamped on top of distress ink and clear embossed, I then sprayed over the whole tag using Dylusions inks.
I then Stamped the following sets using pigment ink
I then used some clear embossing powder to give them some shine.
I then used some white dylusion to flick across the tag.
This shows just how fab these Ink Splats are.
Don’t forget to head on over to the Visible Image blog to check out the current challenge where you could win £20 !! to spend on some lush new stamps.

Frame card

Hiya all,
I wanted to show you how beautiful the Piccolo Frames look when used on a card.
Here is what I have created:
And here is how I created it.

First of all here is all the items you will need-

Cardstock cut to 10×8″ and folded in half for your card blank, and a Piece of watercolour card cut to 4×3″
Paper & Ribbon of your choice
Inkpad for Background & Stamping
Cut your card blank, and also make sure your piece of water colour card fits well behind the frame.
Using blue Distress ink cover your Watercolour card, you want this too be patchy as represents the Sky.
A good tip I use is to give a light spray of water over the top of the card, this helps “soften” the distress ink and makes it look more sky like.
Take your frame that comes with your Butterfly Flurry Flourishes Piccolo Set and give a nice layer of  Enamel & Embossing Powder Adhesive Fluid
Apply a nice thick layer of  Mermaid Tears Embossing Powder…I love how this picture shows all the beautiful colours in this powder. Tap off the excess & set with your heat tool.
Take the butterflies from the Butterfly Flurry Flourishes Piccolo Set and emboss with Mermaid Tears Embossing Powder
Take the Tall Grassy Flowers Stamp and stamp up your card.
I used Green Distress ink for this.
Once stamped I then used Aged White Embossing Powder on the heads of the flower grass and sprainkled some across the bottom, heat set this from underneath your card.
Glue your frame and butterflies to your watercolour card.
Assemble your card using your paper, ribbon & frame.  Here is a closer look at the Flowers & Butterflies.
Finishing touch is done using the brilliant Satin Silver 3D Enamel Gel , put 3 dots in the corner of your card.
And here is the finished card again. I do hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial.

Globecraft & Piccolo …He who holds the key

Hiya everyone, its Tuesday so that mean Globecraft & Piccolo time.
Now as Valentines day is creeping up I decided to spread a little bit of love and make a Vintage style Pendant using one of the awesome Acrylic Craft Charms
I am really happy how this turned out. Here is how I made it…
1. I made my own backing paper (It reads he who holds the key to my heart) and crumpled it up and then distressed it and rubber some gold wax around the edges, this was then glued onto the Bezel
2. I then took one of the hearts from Keys to my Heart Piccolo set give it two layers of Ruby Red Slippers Enamel Powder…The below picture shows just how beautiful this Enamel powder is.
3. I also used one of the keys from Keys to my heart Piccolo Set and used Copper Kettle Enamel Powder…I only gave this one rough layer as I wanted it to have an old look to it

4. I then took Instant UV resin and put a fine layer down and placed the heart and key into it, I then left it on my window sil for a few mins to set, i then gave it another coat and again left on window sil to set….I love this product ! A definite must have, I wanted a old look to this whole thing so was very “rough” with how i applied the resin, I also wanted to create a look like you get with Amber and you have items floating and bubbles etc…I was very wary about doing it but I think it has work just how i pictured it would.
This picture shows just how fab the shine is on the resin. I simply then added some vintage ribbon to finish it off.

Now between me and you I have seen there is some new items over on the website so make sure you check them out.
Also don’t forget we have some brilliant inspiration from the rest of the team post regularly so make sure you keep checking back on the Globecraft & Piccolo Blog
Happy Crafting 🙂
