Morning lovelies, I hope you are all well ? I know a lot of people are poorly at the moment, so sending lots of healing hugs to them.
The lovely Sheena Douglass is back on your screens on Monday at 9am & 4pm GMT on Create & Craft with her gorgeous stamps and matching dies.
I really cannot recommend these enough, they are fantastic quality and so versatile.
Anyway I wanted to share a couple more of my creations (my original post showing some of my samples can be found here
) that I made using them
This one I used my Aquatints to create the background and also colour the apples, I then added some white paint to the letters to make them pop slightly.
I LOVE this branch die and can see it being a firm favorite, I diecut the branch and leaves from Core’dinations cardstock and then sanded back slightly and added some Pebeo Gilding wax. The background is Aquatints and how perfect is this sentiment stamp ?
How cute is this fella ? this shows how detailed Sheena goes with her stamps, I love that you don’t have to colour them to create a really beautiful card.
Loved colouring this stamp, of course I have used my Spectrum Noirs to colour this and i then used the matching die set to create the border…the embossing detail on this dies are perfect.
I wanted to show you today a pendant I have made that is slightly different…
I have used Royal Sterling Embossing Enamel
and given 4 thick layers into a Teardrop bezel
. Whilst it looked beautiful without me doing anything else i wanted to add some more texture, so whilst the immediately after heating the powder on the last coat I used a script rubber stamp…**PLEASE NOTE** do NOT use any other stamp other than rubber otherwise you risk damaging your stamp…Leave the stamp until the enamel has cooled and then slowly remove….and you then have some beautiful texture.
You can just see a hint of blue here, that is because i used some 3D enamel gel in Turquoise
and “buffed” over the surface with it, because the surface was so textured you find the gel sticks in certain areas…it is a lovely effect. I also rubbed some gilding wax in some areas and then finished off with a nice thick layer of Glastique Finishing Glaze
This picture shows all the different colours, texture and glaze perfectly. This technique can be used with so many different stamps….and it fun too 🙂
Morning all, I can’t believe it is Christmas in just a few days !!! This year certainly has flown by !
It is time for our last challenge at That Craft Place
, and the theme is Christmas/Anything goes !
Here is my design team make for this challenge….
I decided to make a Mixed Media Canvas for this challenge, I love doing these (I have been asked for a tutorial so will be doing one in the new year), for those of you with a Silhouette you can now get Silhouette Chipboard (Lisa sells it in the Shop
) and it is fantastic…It doesn’t handle the delicate designs too well, but on this I created the Honeycomb, the “create” letters, the brackets, Scissors & the flourish. It takes various mediums very well and I have used Distress inks/stains, Gesso & Dylusions on it with no problems at all…so I highly recommend getting some if you are into your chipboard.
All the other Elements on here are all from the lovely Lisa, including the paints & gilding waxes.
I hope you like what I have created, and keep your eyes peeled for the tutorial.
The design team have created some gorgeous makes for this challenge, head on over to the blog
to check them out, and why not enter whilst you are there ?
