Spectrum Noir April Challenge- Use Pastel Colours

Hiya ! I hope you are well ? Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my last post, you guys rock and always make me smile 🙂
Today i wanted to share my design team card for Aprils Spectrum Noir Challenge, the theme is Pastel Colours. You can use any Spectrum Noir medium on your project and can win £30/$30 of Spectrum Noir products.
If you click on the image below it will take you too the challenge where you can enter and also see all my teamies amazing projects for this months challenge.
I used probably one of my favorite all time stamps from Hero Arts for this along with my Spectrum Noir Aquablend Watercolor pencils.
I trimmed down some watercolour cardstock and then stamped in Versamark  both slightly off page. Then using some gold embossing powder I heat set the image.
I then used my Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils to colour, the method I used was to scribble some of the pencil onto some scrap watercolour card and then pick up colour using a brush, I find this gives you a more subtle result which was perfect for this challenge theme.
I then took my Lawn Fawn Stitched borders dies, these don’t cut the cardstock and put the stitching detail where ever you want it, so i took the dies and used them to give the stitching detail across the bottom portion of the card.
I then trimmed the card kraft card panel down and stamped the sentiment in the same way i stamped the flower, this is a sentiment from a Hero Arts Clear set (all supplies are listed below).
I then mounted the panels on some fun foam to give it some dimension.
The watercolour panel i slotted in between the two kraft panels….my orignal plan was the have it sit back and have the kraft panel raised but it just didn’t look right so i went for this instead and i much prefer it.
Make sure you stop by the challenge and if you enter don’t forget to share your project with us 🙂
Thank you for stopping by.
I hope you all have a great day.
Happy Crafting 🙂
I’d like to enter this into the challenge over at A Blog Named Hero for their Clean and Simple Challenge.

It takes time

Hello lovelies. I hope you are well ? Phew i nearly didnt make it on to blog today ! My cat Lily decided that she wanted some Mummy time and she was going to get it by laying on the desk and keyboard so i couldn’t get anything done.
How can I work with Lily being all cute on my desk ?! #cat #lilycat #nocraftingforme #toocute #furbaby
And who could resist her ! I know i never can. Anyway she is now off having a drink so I thought i’d jump on here quickly and blog before she comes back.
I wanted to share a card I made that used a technique from a tutorial on the Spectrum Noir Blog which is Adding depth using a Black Pencil By the Lovely Nicky. The tutorial can be found here
I have slightly mixed it up because I have used it around the edge of my stamped images rather than how Nicky has done on the tutorial.
I love this stamp set (link is at the bottom of this post) and wanted to use my Spectrum Noir Colourblend Pencils but really mix the colours up and make them nice and bright. I also wanted it too look like they was almost falling…hope that makes sense, i know it does in my head but that means nothing haha.
The sentiment is from a different stamp set along with the small flowers, but both worked so perfectly with this stamp for this card.
I really wanted it too be a flat card so it was easy to mail and also that the flowers were the main thing on the card.
I CANNOT resist these Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens, i am telling you I get Sparkle withdrawal if I don’t use them ! But here i only wanted a very small amount of sparkle so I just lightly brushed over using the clear sparkle. On this picture you can also see where I have used the Black pencils and blended it out to give some depth to the card.
I wasn’t going to mount the card but decided it needed something, black looked too much so i settled for Kraft card.
I really enjoyed this, it isn’t a WOW card but i find sometimes the simple ones are more fun.
I hope you like the card, dont forget to check out Nicky’s Tutorial
Have a great day.

Sparkle at Christmas

Hello lovelies.
I hope you are all well and that you have had a nice weekend…and for my all my lovelies in USA I hope you have all had a great Thanksgiving.
Today I ams ahring my latest creation for Crafter’s Companion International Inspiration Team.
I challenged myself with this one and decided to use no patterned papers or embossing folders…what do you think…..
I have used Die’sire Mistletoe die and coloured it using the new Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens.
The sentiment and border die are both gifts from the latest Crafter’s Companion Magazine.
I did something a little different with the border die, i cut it out but then reattached it too the piece of card and i really how the effect looked. I added some colour to the bottom of the die using the same Sparkle pen.
I finished off with some twine
This Picture shows the sparkle on these pens, and also how highly pigmented they are. This was cut from Kraft Card and as you can see it covers it really well.
It was so hard not too put some patterned paper behind the lattace area on the die, but i am really glad i didn’t.

I have listed below all items used.
Thank you for stopping by.

All that glitters is snow…

Hello lovelies.
It feels like it has been far too long since I was in blog land last…I do hope everyone is well. I will stop by all your blogs today.
I am very happy to be back in crafty land and have missed you all.
I wanted to share with you a card I made for Crafter’s Companion International Inspiration Team.
I have used one of the embossing folders from a range that Crafter’s Companion Launched this year called Nordic Christmas. It has lots of lovely stamps, embossing folders and a great CD ROM packed with papers and projects. The range can be found here and I will link directly too the folder and all other items used at the end of this post.
I have used one of the Die’sire Snowflake dies, and heat embossed it using High Copper Embossing powder from WOW, I also run some Versamark around the edge of the embossed panel and used the same embossing powder to give a bit of texture and shine.
The sentiment stamp is from the Crafter’s Companion Inspiration Magazine issue 5 from last Christmas, and is one of my favorite christmas sentiment stamps, I heat embossed this using WOW Copper powder, this is the same colour as the other powder but is finer so lots better for detailed stamps such as sentiments.
The edges of the vellum I cut using Crafter’s Companion Clevercut paper trimmer, you can cut several different ways with this trimmer, including wavy edge which I have used here.
I then finished off with some sequins and a couple of gem stones.
I have been so un organised this year that this is my first Christmas card !! But this is an easy card to do un bulk so I will do a couple more of these in different colours.
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
