Hello lovelies. I hope you are well ? Phew i nearly didnt make it on to blog today ! My cat Lily decided that she wanted some Mummy time and she was going to get it by laying on the desk and keyboard so i couldn’t get anything done.

And who could resist her ! I know i never can. Anyway she is now off having a drink so I thought i’d jump on here quickly and blog before she comes back.
I wanted to share a card I made that used a technique from a tutorial on the Spectrum Noir Blog which is Adding depth using a Black Pencil By the Lovely Nicky. The tutorial can be found here.
I have slightly mixed it up because I have used it around the edge of my stamped images rather than how Nicky has done on the tutorial.
I love this stamp set (link is at the bottom of this post) and wanted to use my Spectrum Noir Colourblend Pencils but really mix the colours up and make them nice and bright. I also wanted it too look like they was almost falling…hope that makes sense, i know it does in my head but that means nothing haha.
The sentiment is from a different stamp set along with the small flowers, but both worked so perfectly with this stamp for this card.
I really wanted it too be a flat card so it was easy to mail and also that the flowers were the main thing on the card.
I CANNOT resist these Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens, i am telling you I get Sparkle withdrawal if I don’t use them ! But here i only wanted a very small amount of sparkle so I just lightly brushed over using the clear sparkle. On this picture you can also see where I have used the Black pencils and blended it out to give some depth to the card.
I wasn’t going to mount the card but decided it needed something, black looked too much so i settled for Kraft card.
I really enjoyed this, it isn’t a WOW card but i find sometimes the simple ones are more fun.
I hope you like the card, dont forget to check out Nicky’s Tutorial.
Have a great day.
Happy Crafting
