Spectrum Noir July tutorial with Neat and Tangled- Fun Background with Spectrum Noir Aquablend Pencils

Hey all,I hope you are all well and having a lovely weekend ?
I wanted to share a couple of cards I made for my July tutorial over at Spectrum Noir Blog which can be found here It is a really fun and different technique to use with your Aquablend, or other watercolor pencils.
I have also used a couple of stamps by Neat and Tangled.
Ok don’t laugh but I have had these stamps for months now, but they have been a look at and stroke stamps, I know I am strange !!
But one of my things for this year is to start using ALL my craft supplies, mainly because like these stamps I have some pretty awesome stuff that just doesn’t get used.
But I am SO pleased I used them, the So Very Blessed stamp I masked off the sides, the stamp has a really pretty leaf arrangement around each side, but for this card I wanted it as simple as possible.
The fun thing about this technique is it can be used in so many ways and is SO simple.
I will be using it to creating sprinkles on cupcake stamps I have, if  you add less water they really do look like sprinkles, you can see in the So Very Blessed Card in some areas what I mean.
On the one above I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen to create some sparkly splatters.
I really like doing this to add just a little bit of sparkle and interest.

I didn’t want to, or think I needed to add much to these cards, so I die cut them using Stitched rectangle dies, added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and mounted them onto black cardbase.
I hope you checked out the video tutorial, I really do encourage you to try this technique and if you do make sure you share your creations with me.
Thank you for stopping by.
Have an amazing day, and happy crafting

Spectrum Noir June Challenge – Use a die

It is new challenge time again at Spectrum Noir….I swear someone stole most of May, it went way to fast.
The theme is Use a Die, all you need to do is make sure your project uses at least one Spectrum Noir Product and you could win £30/$30 of Spectrum Noir Products.
To enter the challenge, and also check out what my teamies created for the challenge just click the link below.
I have used a really sweet set from Wplus9 called “Wishing You”…all items are listed and linked below. I have used no lines colouring and done some water colouring using my Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils.
Once I coloured the bunnies I fussy cut them out and put to one side.
I created the background using Distress Inks, blending them to try and get a dusky sky look.  There is some great star stamps in the same set and I used Hero Arts White Ink to stamp out a starry night, I wanted them to be subtle so i second and third generation stamped them and then added some Clear Sparkle and some star sequins.
I used a couple of dies, but the main one was from Papertrey & Ink. I die cut from the background making sure I kept all of the little pieces, and then using the same die I cut another 4 from Kraft card and adhered them all together, I then adhered them back onto the background, making sure to line up and use all the smaller pieces.
I also used Lawn Fawn Hillside borders dies and cut from watercolour card and coloured using Spectrum Aqua Markers to create a grassy hill.
Once everything was dry i then adhered it all to a Kraft card base, using some 3D foam on the bunnies for dimension.
I hope you like the card, thank you so much for stopping by and make sure you check out the challenge
I hope you all have a great day, and a lovely weekend.

Hot Stuff Clearly Besotted

Hiya lovelies, I hope you are all well 🙂
The card I am sharing today was meant to have a video with it, but when i went to edit it there was some sort of strange light thing going on, so no video today !
I have used the Hot stuff Stamp set from Clearly Besotted (all links are below) for this card.
I was VERY lucky to get an awesome gift from hubby last week. A gorgeous set of Mission Gold Water colours, people who know me well know how much I love water colours ( I used to water colour before i got into paper crafting) and the Mission Gold have been at the top of my want list for a long time, but at £200 a set I just couldn’t justify buying them, but Amazon has recently dropped the price on them and hubster grabbed them for me….I was like a kid at Christmas when they arrived.
I have said I will do a short review on them when I get chance, but I did use them for the first time to create the background of this card and have to admit I really am loving them so far.
I have linked below, I know they are still on offer at the moment, but obviously I am not sure when that will change.
I have coloured this little cutie using my Spectrum Noir Markers and added some of the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle to his little horns. I added some dot detail to give some texture and couldn’t resist adding some white gel pen dots to his cheeks.
I fussy cut him out and adhered him to the water colour background using 3D foam Tape.
The sentiment is from another stamp set, I wanted a simple sentiment and as he looks like he is waving i thought this one was perfect. I white heat embossed it onto some Matt black card stock. I then used So to Speak dies from Clearly Besotted and run that through my Die Cutting machine.
To give some dimension, and to keep the water colour panel flat I adhered it too some fun foam.
I used a sheet of paper from Lawn Fawn’s Let’s Polka In The Meadow and die cut using Stitched Rectangle die to match the water colour piece. I then created a card base the same size..It is slightly larger than A2 and adhered everything onto the base.
Me being me I couldn’t resist adding some sequins to finish the card off.
I am thinking of making several more of these but in different colours and all saying something different.
Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you liked the card.
As always a full product list along with direct links is below.
Have a great day & happy crafting

Happy Birthday Simon Says Stamp

Hiya ! I hope you are all well ? I have had a little bit of a blogging break, thank you for the emails wondering where i was 🙂 I am fine just been doing some other bits and bobs.
Anyway onto today’s post. As some of you may know it is Simon Says Stamp 7th Birthday, so sending a huge Happy Birthday to Heidi and all the team at Simon Says Stamp.
I have a few of Simons Simon & Dexter Stamp sets so I decided to use one for a birthday card for the occasion.
I decided to do a clean and simple card with some no line water colouring.
I stamped the Simon stamp using some Old paper Distress ink and using my Misti tool….Trust me if you don’t have a Misti then you NEED one, they are amazing !…I then watercoloured him using my Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils.
I die cut the watercolour panel using a awesome stitched scallop die from the Sunshine Layers die set from Wplus9 (all links are below).
I then stamped the sentiment onto some Matt Black cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed using white embossing powder.
I finished off with some sequins and popped the whole panel onto a 4×51/4 top folding card.
This was lots of fun to colour and i am totally hooked onto watercolouring again, I used to watercolour many years ago and forgot how relaxing it is so i am excited to be rediscovering my love of it again.
I would like to enter this into the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, the theme Is Happy Birthday !
I hope you all have a great day.
