You Make Me Smile | CAS-ual Friday Stamps

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re having a great weekend ? I am sharing a card with you today that I have created for CAS-ual Friday Stamps using their  beautiful 4 Petals Fri-Dies.

These dies are so pretty and so versatile. I was recently playing around with different Distress Ink combinations and created some different blended panels. I used one of these panels for this card.

I used Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers & Wilted Violet Distress Inks to create the panel, overlapping the blending to get a soft blend.

I then used the dies to die cut out all the panel until none was left. I drew a circle using pencil onto the card base which is A2 sized, I did this so I had a rough circle guide.

I arranged the petals and adhered just the centre of each one into place.

Now I did mess up here as I stamped the sentiment totally wrong, but I fixed it by stamping it again onto a strip of card and then adhering this to some glitter card, This was a happy mistake as I think the thin border of glitter card gives that little something something. The sentiment is from the Pretty Posies stamp set

I did place some gems in the centre of the flowers but didn’t like the look so instead I took Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen in clear and added s dot of sparkle to each flower centre.

Once this was done and all dry I went around all the petals and gently lifted each one so that this gave some dimension to the card…make sure the adhesive is dry before you do this.

This is such a pretty die set and so cheap too and is a must have for any crafter.

The 3×4 stamp set is being released for Black Friday and can be found in the store

You can purchase the tag, or if you spend $50 or more you will get it for free…how awesome is that (also a great excuse to go shopping 🙂 )

I had several ideas but went for a simple tag again and used Distress Oxides to create the background and then add some splatter.

For my card I just couldn’t resist using the cute Kobi’s Ice Day (all supplies are listed and linked at the end of this post) I really do think this set is a great winter/holiday stamp set.

I started off by creating the background with Distress Inks and then using the Dotted Patterns Set 3 to die cut the panel out, at the same time I also die cut some Neenah Card stock with the Trimmings Borders Die set and also the make sure the edges matched I also used the Dotted Pattern Die.

I stamped and coloured the penguins using Spectrum Noir Markers and then then started on the “snow” I used WOW’s Seafoam White Embossing powder and once I had two layers of this I then used the Sparkling Snow Embossing powder for some shimmer.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using WOW’s White Embossing powder and then started to assemble the card.

I adhered the “snow” panel flat to the inked piece and then popped the penguins up using some foam tape.

I tried, but couldn’t resist adding some of the iridescent Ice flakes scattered around the card.

I love the sparkle and texture on the snow and think its the perfect combination for that winter look.
